It was late afternoon when we visited here and the staff were doing a lot of tidying and cleaning up so we’re a bit distracted and didn’t delay long. The decor is warm and inviting and the service brisk. I found the pricing to be a bit on the high end. Better value can be definitely got elsewhere.Hi LeisureGuy32,Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit partially. I have passed your review on to our staff and advised them to be much more conscious of our closing up procedures. I do hope that you return to our store again and on the next visit find it more enjoyableRegardsAndrew

We came here for a family dinner on a Saturday evening. Even though it was pretty early, the restaurant appeared to be fully booked, as there were people at every table. They offered a la carte and set menu, even on a Saturday. We were very happy with our food and drinks. They had a good selection of non-alcoholic beers (for the designated driver) and overall, there was a good ambiance in the restaurant.

Very unorganized pub, there were no tables inside so were told to order and pay for food and they would bring it to us outside at the picnic tables. Waited and waited in the cold and food did not come so went in and they asked what I ordered and it eventually did come. Seats came available inside but never told us and we sat out in the cold with a few other poor patrons. Food was just ok, nothing special or memorable here.

We booked Freddy’s for a birthday dinner. Lovely cosy atmosphere inside and good vibes. Food was delicious and staff were attentive. They even gave us a spare umbrella to keep up dry walking to the bar after our meal. Couldn’t fault the service, top notch.

Bon Appetit is an absolute must if you’re in the milk market! Whether you’re a local or visitor. The Mediterranean crepe is part of my Saturday routine now and I always leave with a smile on my face. Although I’m not a sweet tooth- the sweet crepes always turn my head! Definitely give it a turn ☺️

Family of 5 stopped in for a late lunch. We were warned that the Nelly’s Special Burger was big, but WHOA! It was impossible to eat all together. So delicious though! It was stacked high with two patty’s cheddar cheese, bacon and onion rings. See photo...seriously SO BIG! None of the family could finish our meals as everything was of such hearty proportions.Cute charming interior with really great music. Would recommend.

The East Room at Plassey House

I visited the East Room to celebrate my graduation. I am so happy I chose to go here for dinner as they make every graduate feel very special by giving a glass of prosecco to celebrate. On arrival we were greeted by the Restaurant Manager Joe and one of the waiters John, both were super friendly and welcoming towards us. They gave us the option of going straight in for dinner or to have a drink first. We went for a drink in the relaxing and elegant Board Room before our meal. We were able to take our time and enjoy the whole experience and never felt rushed. We were spoilt for choice with the menu. I went for the salmon and crab starter and the hake for main. Both were so amazingly presented that I forgot to take photos because I was too excited to taste them!! Before our starters came out we were brought ‘chef’s snacks’ by another lovely waiter called Shefik. He kindly explained exactly what they were for us - goat’s cheese arancini and a little piece of battered cod. We also received warm sourdough and brown bread. We were blown away by the food before our starters even arrived! For dessert I got the lemon tart with raspberry and white chocolate sorbet. It was honestly the tastiest dessert I have ever had. At the end, we received little Petit Fors to finish our coffees with. These included a white chocolate and pistachio truffle and a citrus jelly. I would highly, highly recommend The East Room to everyone. It is such a great place to celebrate a special occasion or even just to go for a nice treat. It is so affordable, they have highly professional and knowledgeable staff and the best tasting food in Limerick. I will definitely be going back soon!
