Deventer (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈdeːvəntər] ( listen)) is a city and municipality in the Salland region of the province of Overijssel, Netherlands. In 2017, Deventer had a population of 99,577. The city is largely situated on the east bank of the river IJssel, but also has a small part of its territory on the west bank. In 2005 the municipality of Bathmen (with a population of about 5,000 people) was merged with Deventer as part of a national effort to reduce bureaucracy in the country.

Truly excellent! The food was poetry to the eyes, nose and tastebuds and the atmosphere/decor stylish and tasteful to fit. Despite the high quality of food and surroundings, the service was not âstiffâ but totally relaxed, authentic, friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my evening here and will definitely come back again next time Iâm in Deventer!

A nice café-type restaurant right on Deventerâs brink square. We stopped in for lunch on a warm sunny afternoon. Servers were helpful explaining the menu. The sandwiches were very tasty. This is a nice place to sit and watch the city of Deventer go by.

We had a three course dinner that started with delicious salmon. Followed by sole with tasteful vegetables and finally the dessert consisting of several preparations, all tasting well. Service is correct, quickly enough. We certainly go back!

Grand café in a brewery. Nice terrace at the backside. A lot of draft beer, Also very special self made beer; very tasty (for example davo dark). Also available hamburgers and Some snacks. Nice and relaxed atmosphere and very close to the "Brink", the main square of Deventer

Party of 2, one with gluten free requirements, indoor seating, busy and cozy restaurant. The serving staff is professional, quick, while personal. They made us feel like we were their best customers, even though it was our first visit. We needed a gluten free menu and were met with great understanding and variety. Their gluten free bread, toasted and sprinkled with olive oil is to die for, like everything else. A wonderful option when eating out in Deventer.

If you're hungry, and looking for a quick but satisfying bite and happen to be in Deventer, then I strongly recommend Happy Tosti.We had two different Tostis, the spicy chorizo and the Mexican and both did not disappoint. I'm a big guy so I went for the value for money double up and was happy I did.The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the vibe is awesome. Also great value for money.Our little monkey (daughter) also loved the food and the swing chairs were an unexpected bonus. Six of us in the family had dinner here just before the Christmas holidays. It was during the Dickens Festival held in Deventer every year. Huis Vermeer has three seating areas for their restaurant and we were fortunate enough to be seated in the smallest. It was a cozy room off the central hallway with its own fireplace. The service is impeccable, the food simply out of this world and the wine list impressive. Each course was artfully presented and not too much food. It was everything you'd expect from a highly-regarded, Michelin-starred restaurant. So, where are your judges, Michelin?? Hmmm?

Booked this place based on the reviews, certainly the atmosphere was good and food presentation was fabulous, but the Summer Roll starter I had was bland. The main course of lamb neck was dry and over cooked. Not sure why Jackies attracts the reviews it does, unless people are eating just with their eyes.

Booking will be essential shortly here to this exceptional young business as awards and full recognition must follow soon from Michelin and food critics alike.Loved the fresh presentation of the restaurant and immediately made a dinner reservation for a tasting menu.Cautiously went for 4 or five courses but should have gone for the full house as the ingredients presentation and knowledgeable service was outstanding and delightful.You do not have to be a food concessioner to love here as just such a holistic great experience.

Location is superb in a quiet garden courtyard. Good weather that day certainly helped but I can see how I can enjoy the place even on a gloomy day. My friend and I both had the croquette on bread, which was very nice. The selection was not huge but adequate. Service was good. We felt welcomed and our orders were taken promptly with patience to explain the Dutch menu, and the food was served without too much of a wait.
