The service is wonderful. The owners are very informative of what is happening in the area. Try one of their homemade sandwiches which are very delicious.

From the friendly greeting by the owner, through the special attention from a server who has been there forever, the food which was so good I didnât want to leave even a grain of rice on my plate, to the employee who ran out after me when she discovered a book I had left behind, it was just a wonderful experience. Service and food at the Wilno Tavern has always been highly rated, and nothing was lacking this time. Itâs one of the best places to eat in the area.
This used to be a chain chicken restaurant..forget the name...it was awful...my son and I had fried chicken and fries (90% of the menu) and greasiest food, low quality chicken either of us had ever had....so was reluctant to go back since the new business came in. Glad I did. Look, it isn't fancy but really friendly service, fair prices, quick service and the food was very decent...diner food for sure but good diner food. Hot chicken sandwich was excellent. Give it a try on your next drive thru Barry's Bay.

Four of us recently had lunch on the patio of the Balmoral Hotel in Barryâs Bay. It was very pleasant. Three of us had chicken quesadillas with salad. One had pea soup and a salad. We all enjoyed our food. Service was pleasant and efficient.

Thanks for a great season! Our first year was incredible. Appreciate the support! See you June 2020.
On the August civic long weekend we attended the CO Blitz. The band for the evening was No Idea Band all the way from Burlington Ontario. Their speciality is Rock & Roll dance music. It was a great night ( despite the rain earlier in the day). We had a very fun night. The mix of music genre shows how talented they are. Bent Anchor staff are friendly & pleasant.

Stopped here driving thru for lunch. Ended up with the veal parm sandwiches...worst ever...by a wide margin. Overcooked, not good to begin with, tasteless sauce on a sausage bun....really? a sausage bun. Not expecting homemade authentic Italian but this was just garbage. My wife threw half of hers out...I would have to but I was starving.would have given this one star but the milkshake was pretty good and have stopped in for an ice cream cone in the past and no issues...but with ice cream, they are just scooping onto a cone.Service was poor and slow...two ppl working, no other customers and took forever to get things going...and not with a smile.

Enjoyed an overnight stay @ this wonderful resort. Sharon (Owner) personally greeted us and spent time chatting with us after our dinner..and speaking of dinner..the smoked prime rib was superb! We stayed in the lodge and found our room to be comfortable and ideal for use. The 10 km Spectacle Ridge hike (saturday afternoon) was a highlight! This property is close to Barry's Bay..excellent coffee shop!Courteous staff..delicious break buffet!!Thanks!

We stopped in this wonderful restaurant for breakfast before heading through Algonquin Park. Our server was the owner and his ( wife) co owner was the cook. Fast service. Very friendly Delicious breakfast and he custom made my order with no problem. I overheard him tell an elderly woman at a table nearby to nevermind the menu and to just tell him what she wanted. I highly recommend this place.
