Went on the family rafting trip with kids, parents and grandparents. The rapids were gentle and provided a perfect introduction to rafting for the kids (ages 8,9,10 and 11). The scenery was beautiful. If you are looking for more intense rapids you should check out...MoreWe appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and for giving a shout out to our sister company OWL! We love introducing kids to the world of whitewater in an atmosphere of fun. We will make sure Nick receives your kind words!

Crooked Slide Park

Reviewed By Pamela D - Brantford, Ontario, Canada

The local folk in Combermere suggested this spot for a day trip. It is a short drive away from Hwy. #62 on Old Barry's Bay road. This is a free venue no cost involved. There are two entrances - the first one has the restrooms and the other just parking and picnic areas. You can reach each by the walking trails along the log slide. It is a beautiful area and the slide was really interesting for my grandchildren. The upper area is so serene and lovely. There are stairs if you choose to park in one area and head to the next so in order to see the actual water drop area go to the entrance with the restrooms. There are walking trails. Worth the stop.

Zurakowski Park

Reviewed By justmy0pinion - Arviat, Canada

You can't miss this stop as you pass through Barry's bay as it's right along the main road; it's worth a quick stop and look. An interesting piece of Canadian History. Barry's Bay has a quaint downtown area with some shops and the Zurakowski park offers a shaded gazebo with a picnic table for a nice break after viewing the informative signs. It's a quick visit as there are just a few signs with some information, a statue and a model of the avro arrow. It's fantastic that the community has embraced this pilot who retired near the community.
