This review doesn’t include the Rooftop as our food experience there (after eating one week before in the restaurant) was very disappointing. In the restaurant we ordered three meals - Sirloin Steak, Pork Ribs and Chicken Wings. The Side Dishes were Sweet Potato Fries, Wedge Potatoes and seared Vegetables. Everything was perfectly cooked and all ingredients fresh. The Steak exactly how it was ordered (medium and juicy) and had the BBQ char. The Ribs and Wings were falling from the bones and had the original flavour. The Vegetables just perfectly seared and crunchy. The Potatoes homemade and not over fried. Our Waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. This was our first experience in this restaurant and so far our favourite for BBQ food.

I had ordered a small breakfast, My husband ordered hamburger & fries . I ended up being served a full breakfast with 3 TINY eggs deep fried homefries ( yuck ) and bacon chips, bacon pieces looked like bacon ends. Husbands burger was frozen Patty and frozen fries , something you would expect out of a hungry man frozen dinner. Waitress was excellent though. This less than appetizing meal including a small chocolate milk came out to $33.85 !

Went in there & the owners brother served us. My sister had a ciatic nerve very bad that she could not sit down. She spilled her tea & instead of telling him she went to get napkins to clean it, he says well that's 10 dollars worth of napkins. Then when came to pay he asked 1 or 3 she said one. Handed him her 10 bucks & said that's not enough then he yelled at her & said to her you deal with it, We have not been back since. Wow Sue, that's quite the interpretation of events you have there. Lol. I suggest you talk to your sister, as we were all clearly joking and she was quite amused. And it was I that served you, I am the owner.

The great BBQ places own it. Camp 31 in Paris Ontario, Denny's in Gainesville . That light, sweet, sticky,BBQ smell. This place is extremely efficient, given the size, the happy, hungry clientele, and the small mountain of take out orders. The wait staff is friendly and willing to make to suggestions. I would prefer to see a better selection of local craft beer but nothing else to fault. The menu is simple but something for everyone, but forget it and just order the combo. Plenty of food, prepared properly. There are a lot of steps in presenting a first rate rack of ribs and they don't disappoint. Their signature rub sets it off. Well done, folks!

Not from barrie area, but like to visit as it’s a change of scenery. Went for a walk after dinner at State & Main which is amazing. Thought we would grab a night cap and dessert. Hostess\Day manager Heather quickly greeted us. We mentioned we just wanted a drink and maybe dessert. We will sit at the bar. Asked her about the 4.00 beers (it was a Monday) she mentioned it was Pabst and the rest were 5.00. Our bartender Hilary (who was lovely) mentioned that sleeman, Pabst, bud and something else draft were 4.00. Heather, proceeded in front of us to argue with Hilary “I told them that at the door”. Pretty Rude. No communication clearly. We finally got our bud and it tasted like complete crap. Flat, warm, lines haven’t been cleaned, ever? Looked like the managers family was in for dinner which seems to cause a lot of anxiety for the servers. Once they were finished the dinner they were behind the bar, back towards patrons (us) didn’t say hi, anything, hanging around near the kitchen, totally unprofessional, brown bags to go. Just weird. I felt we were getting eye balled pretty good as we were there as well, because we were sitting at the bar?? We were well dressed...felt like we were intruding. The blonde server and Hilary seemed like the only normal ones in there, and I didn’t even speak to the blonde girl! Anyways, we both work at a high end golf resort, chef and server. You never know who your patrons are so treat them all equally, whether we are just getting a night cap and dessert (which I didn’t even order) or a 200.00 meal, because guess what. We all have access to trip advisor.

Kenzington Burger Bar

Reviewed By Robbieredlight

My wife and I had a late lunch here on Thurs Aug 29. We both had burgers, I had fries and she had onion rings. Both burgers were well cooked, juicy and flavourful. If you have a craving for a big mouthwatering burger - try this place. My fries were good, but oddly they were very short. Not sure if that’s the way they serve them, but if you like “little bits” of fries then your in luck. The onion rings were graciously removed from our bill. Although they seems good, they were so greasy to the point that there was probably a tablespoon of grease in her container - we recommend you skip those. We will go back though, those burgers are mmmmm.

We're staying right across the street from Donaleighs Pub in Barrie, ON and tried this our first night here. Great outside seating and huge restaurant/bar inside with another back room for live entertainment on weekends! We ponied up to the bar and were delightfully served by Melissa. Excellent server, fun, witty and very attentive! We had a couple of cocktails perfectly prepared and settled in on splitting the meatloaf! It was probably some of the best we have ever had...tasty, juicy and a huge portion that still left us with leftovers! The gravy was delicious, the 'beet' salad was a nice change and we loved the fresh veggies that came on the side. Perfect meal and perfect setting! We will definitely be back again to this gem! Enjoy!
