Beautifully cared for and a lovely walk through nature. The 150th floral decoration is so pretty. Bring your out of town visitors here - it really showcases what Barrie is about in nature.

Barrie's unique metal sculpture set the tone of the waterfront beauty. I feel the sculpture is reflective of the spirit of Kemperfelt Bay, the locals and our Canadian historical Aboriginal culture. Towering over the bay with strength to endure nature's elements with great pride. The location is a gem to walk, and to absorb the local sites.

Smart Moves Play Place

I bring my daughter here often when the weather is crappy. It's quite large, suprisingly larger than expected by looking at the store front.
However this place can be PACKED !! Since it's becoming extremely popular in the city.
Think of half a school worth of kids running around nuts but indoors.. lol..
There's food and drink, washrooms and nursing areas. Basically everything a family could want. They also do parties.

A nice place to wander away a few hrs. While the scenery is a bit monotonous, the forest is a nice, quiet area to get some peace. There are a few different trails, coded by colour/symbol. Trees are painted along a trail to guide you.

Kempenfelt Kelly immortalized! This park is perfect for anything! In the summer there's a lovely shallow splash pool with 'egg' Fountains and the brook running through the park with little Waterfalls and tree/bench vignettes through out to offer peaceful resting and shade places.

Went here for lunch. Modest selection of healthy wholesome food, including wraps, quiches, salads and cakes. Great coffee, and also alcohol is available. The highlight though is the space in which you sit to enjoy your coffee or lunch. Inside you can eat in the modern airy coffee shop or the atrium adjoining the art gallery, outside is a delightful courtyard patio, which is a tranquil little oasis. Will be coming here often.

This place is the one constant place that we head to in Barrie. Generally speaking these large travel centers are only at the provincial borders, so it is nice to find one that accessible here, just off the highway, an hour north of Toronto. It is more or less of a necessary stop for anyone heading to the area, whether that be the Bruce Peninsula, Penetanguishene/Midland, the Georgian Bay Coast or beyond. They have guidebooks for almost every provincial park in Ontario, and their knowledge of stuff in the immediate area is impressive.
