和風旅館
Reviewed By oshimat72昔ながらの和風旅館で、階段が狭いとか細かい段差があるから、注意が必要です。寺町通り、七間朝市にも近くて便利ですが、近くにコンビニはありません。

Baku-matsu Pilgrimage to the Central Japan
Reviewed By KwakakuIn the afternoon, we drove East into mountains to reach Kuzuryu to stay in a lodge there. We got there in the evening without any reservation other than a stay. We knew there was a soba noodle restaurant nearby. In mountain areas in Japan, you can enjoy good soba. However, the restaurant was closed, and we didn't know why. Anyway, we drove farther into the mountains to Kuzuryu station in the hope of finding some restaurants or, at least, something to eat there. There were some restaurants and food shops, but they were all closed. It was at the dusk of 6 p.m., and every body was busy preparing for Bon-odori festival. Naturally, the shops should be closed. They used to be closed at dusk. They used to be closed during O-Bon. We were deep in a mountain area. If you want to know how deep the maountains are, watch TV news in late Spring next year. You will surely find a news in which a bus run through walls of snow in Kuzuru area. That is the spring there. Now we were in so deserted a mountain area that things should be naturally of old style. Although they don't have traditional Japanese houses there, they are living in an authentically traditional Japanese way. We gave up dining out, purchased cups of instant noodles somehow, and went back to the lodge to boil water ourselves.

料理の美味しい老舗旅館
Reviewed By mj48southwind三浦屋さんは西側にお城の見える古い旅館で市街のほぼ中心にありました。規模はそう大きくありませんがお殿様にでもなったような12畳二間続きのお部屋に泊まれます。一間半の大きく立派な床の間と御簾の掛かった和室など普段はまず泊まれないと思います。越前塗でしょうか漆塗りの立派な座卓、螺鈿細工の置物台、お殿様のような肘掛け。外人さんだった喜ぶと思います。バス・トイレが共同など古い建築のためにお安い料金で使わせて貰えました。 しかしここの夕食の美味しいことは特筆されます。お造り、焼き物、煮物、それに投入仕立ての豚しゃぶ、八つ頭の茎の酢の物など、どれもたいへん美味しいので驚きました。歴史ある城下町というのは美味しいものが必ず遺されています。京都は勿論、金沢、萩、どこも良いもの美味しいものが残されているので感心しますが、ここ大野市も美味しい料理が遺されていて感銘を受けました。

大人数で合宿したい人向け
Reviewed By Sugarsyropjinger旧福井大学の山荘です。 1階の玄関は、昭和の合宿所を思い起こさせるレトロな感じです。 お風呂もありますが昭和のタイルの貼ったレトロなつくり。 2階に和室の大広間とキッチンがあります。 3、4階が部屋になります。普通の和室から、畳二段ベッドと部屋、とにかくたくさん泊まれます。 朝食を頼むと豪華な朝食を作ってくれます。 キッチンを使って自分たちで作ることもできます。 高原なので、夏場は夜、窓を開けると虫が大量に入ってきます。ほかに明かりがないので。 公共交通機関で行けないこともないですが不便です。 私たちが泊まった前にサッカー部の合宿で泊まっていたらしく、大広間に布団とカバーが大量にあり、セルフで使い放題でした。 大人数でワイワイやりたい人にはオススメですが、都会的で近代的なものを求める方にはオススメできません。

7. Cafe & Guest House Name Came Ono
Let's stay Japanese traditional house in Ono, Fukui. This old house was built about 60 years ago, and repaired it as cafe & guest house. You can feel natural wind and slowly time and Japanese life style. There is Echizen Ono castle known as "The castle on the cloud" in Japan near here, and walking around historical old town. Please spend the time as Japanese people. We have several activities, Zazen, Kayak, Astronomical observation and etc.
