If you want a change from all the very samey Greek food in town then I recommend this place. We had a pizza and gnocchi all washed down with a large bottle of San Pellegrino in the middle of a thunderstorm- such fun and excellent food, lovely waiters and great service

Yes, itâs a lovely setting and food ok but nothing special and no effort whatsoever from staff. Perhaps we arrived shortly after a family argument? Probably better at lunchtime when setting improves ambience

We returned this year to Skala Rachoniou and although we were half board this restaurant was top of our list to re-visit. (So good we went twice in one week). This time we remembered about the large portions and we shared our starter (the courgette balls - yummy), which I followed with the most delicious chicken schnitzel. The main course does come with chips and a touch of greenery but I discussed with the owner and decided to have a âhalf portionâ of Greek salad as a side. (Next time I will order a quarter portion of salad as I was unable to finish it. This restaurant is well worth a visit and has a really good menu with great prices.

The beauty of going self catering for us is eating somewhere different every night . This was another lovely restaurant in the main part of Thassos Town.Hard working friendly staff. Starters Stuffed vine leaves & Saganaki are our most loved and they were lovely couldnt fault them here .Mains Chicken a la creme, hubby loved every morsel .Squid stuffed with feta & tomatoes, lovely and tender . My hubby doesn't know how I can eat squid but I love it . 1 litre of red wine to wash it all down . Came to â¬45. Free ice cream with your bill . Lovely spot watching people coming and going .

The staff were really welcoming but when our food arrived it wasnât as good as we had come to expect. I ordered prawns with garlic sauce and when it arrived, it literally only had prawns with a small dish of sauce! The other meals werenât much better.

Mesogeios feels more like a restaurant (which of course it is) than a 'typical' Greek taverna, and the menu (and prices) reflects this, so don't expect just souvlaki and moussaka.. The menu is much more ambitious and varied than most. Having said that, the food is definitely high quality, and portions are large (our salad was enormous), to say the least.Zucchini flowers are definitely recommended (and the chips are excellent), but you might be disappointed if you order the traditional pie, as it had finished both evenings we visited (must all go at lunchtime, I suppose).Lots of shaded outdoor garden~like seating, although it can be tricky getting the waiter's attention from some of the darker corners.Located near the ferry boats in Nea Limenas, so you can watch the ships arriving and departing as you eat!Altogether a pleasant change.

The tables are under the the trees, with hanging lamps, nice music and relaxed atmosphere. The food is delicious, we loved the octopus, the shrimps, fried squid and sea bream. Although in a touristic area, this tavern is not at all touristic and offers very fresh food cooked in a very tasty way!

I could copy and paste the same review as I did before that this place gives the standard Greek fare and its outstanding selling point is the pizza and the chicken souvlaki, Greek salad and tomato and mozzarella salad. This time however, the service was much improved with the kitchen keeping up! You can't go wrong here; it's such good value.

What can I say that has not already been said, I just concur with all of the positive comments with regard to this quality restaurant.We went with two of our Greek friends to celebrate our anniversary, and had the most wonderful evening.Great table, crisp white linen tablecloth, table perfectly laid, and waiting staff, ready, but not over attentive.Food was spectacular, Octopus starter, followed by Sea Bass. All washed down with a Chateau Nikos Lazarides Sauvignon Blanc.Great friends, Great Service, Great Food, Great Location.
