Green man is a great pub. I was greeted warmly when i entered and never had to wait long for a beer. Great selection of beers with a side area for functions and pool table. Food is also very wholesome and TV's all around the bar for those times when there is a big game on. Ill be going there again on my next trip to WellingtonThanks Aubrey for taking the time to write this, we really appreciate your opinion. We are glad you had a good time and we hope to see you around on your next trip to Welli.

The sliders we ordered would have to be the worst we have ever been presented with. there were three and two were basically inedible as they were mainly made up of fat and gristle. Very expensive buns and garnish was the best you could say about it. We also had some fries which were ok. The waitress was pleasant and advised that she would let the kitchen know but no one came to talk to us

Had a lovely brunch with friends. We were greeted warmly with smiles and professionalism by staff. I decided that 11am on a Sunday was perfect timing for a mimosa with my coffee, both we delightful. Menu was brief but well thought out, I like that, I had the salmon with healthy bits everywhere, it was really nice but could have been lifted to another level with more seasoning. Really cool interior, this place is a winner.

Dined early on Friday night, we had a booking for two so were promptly seated on arrival, we were advised of the WOAP options for the evening, We opted for one 3 course meal and one 2 course meal (And would decide if they wanted dessert later)Drinks and entree arrived quickly after ordering, the salmon mousse was an amazing flavour and texture as spot on.We ordered another round of drinks to have with our main. The main course arrived with the theatre of dry ice in the centre of the table. The meal was well presented various types of seafood (Groper, one mussel, one clam, one prawn, cress and seaweed) After eating the dish we felt it wasn't quite a full dish needed some chips or something, when we reviewed the menu at home it is apparent that our meals were missing the mirin pickled baby vegetables. The cress under the dish was quite tough overall a let down for us as a festival dish. Our drinks we ordered to have with our mains arrived as the table was cleared of our main dishes. We decided that we would order a separate dessert for the person with the two course menu. Within 5 minutes of mains being cleared the festival dessert arrived without us having a chance of ordering the other dessert. We asked for a menu and ordered a chocolate mulle fulle. The festival dessert was well presented and had good flavour, the goats yoghurt sorbet had started to melt on the outside so was more a cream consistency rather than the centre which was more like a sorbet. The other dessert arrived after the festival dessert had been finished, it was a very nice dessert.Overall having dined here many times this visit wasn't up to their normal standard, The waitress asked how our meal was when we paid, we advised it was just ok, no other questions were asked.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the menu interesting. Very busy night (Tuesday is pub quizz night) but we achieved a reservation in the closed-in patio area. The dishes were varied: excellent starters, mains huge for the basic fish and chips, minimal for the fish of the day. The lamb rumps were disappointingly not as rare as expected but still good.
