No electricity
Reviewed By Abatista21We stayed in our half last night, because our flight was very early in the morning. There was not electricity but we payed for an air conditioning room. I know it is not the owner fault, but they should charge less money because they knew about the electricity issue in the city. Beside that situation the location is good and the staff is friendly. It is good for 1 night.

Awesome rooms, great pool, fantastic for families
Reviewed By Nick FWe stayed 2 nights on arrival in Sri Lanka to acclimatise, it was a great decision. The staff are great, the pool is awesome and the rooms are wonderful; large, airy, plenty of space to spread our 2 energetic young kids out. It's such a beautiful, peaceful setting, only 500m from the beach road and all the restaurants. Easy pickup from the airport and (a few weeks later) from Kandy. I highly recommend it

Our beautifully restored Diklande Estate Bungalow has three rooms with attached bathrooms and a large airy sitting and dining area which opens out to the terrace with a deep turquoise swimming pool.

Reviewed By Dilee15The bungalow is spacious and the rooms are comfortable. Paul and Margeret were very accommodating and friendly and the food which they prepared was nice. Went with a bunch of friends and had quite a good time.

Reviewed By Gopendra M GThe host are awesome people. The only drawback of this property is that it has NO LIFT. The rooms are beautiful and are at third floor so if you need lift then better not book it. If taking stairs isn't any problem then go ahead and book. I can get some discount also. It has a nice clean transparent kitchen. Lovely restaurant place at second floor. Sea beaches are not very far and tuktuk will take 200 LKR to take you there (you can negotiate if they demand more). You can book by UBER or PickMe apps to get cheaper fares. It has a big mall in front which has all the daily need items like Big Bazar in India. Book it now. Enjoy

Reviewed By TessaClareI stayed here one night, traveling solo, after landing in Colombo late at night. Negombo is actually closer to the airport than Colombo! Cinnamon is a spotless, simple guesthouse with a beautiful garden and lovely hosts. Great shower! Delicious breakfast at time of your choosing. As it is a short drive from the airport so excellent option for one night before heading off to Sigi/ Kandy/ the mountains. They let me arrive late (after midnight), organized a driver from airport for 1500 rupees, included a delicious breakfast of eggs, pancakes and fruit. Quick and good responses to all emails through booking.com. Tip: for onward travel it was cheaper to get the next guesthouse to arrange it Slight gripe: water wasn’t included in price (100 rupees for a small bottle which is overpriced) but everything else was good value for money I would stay here again and thanks for staying up late to greet me!

Reviewed By mahinthan5I booked this place with my friends for a photography project via booking.Com. Despite I confirmed twice he gave the room to other party because they paid higher. Owner is very cunning greedy man. He then transferred us to another room (runs with different name) which was far worse filled with mosquitos as well as less bedding than we requested for same price. We also had to check in like 8pm because the room wasn't cleaned. There people has to sleep in one double bed. He even told if you wish you can put mar and sleep in reception floor. Avoid this place as plague. He also mentioned that local people would confirm and would not come. And he used this as an excuse. So if you are desi person he think it's difficult to milk money out of you and you are less cared. He is more about milking money from developed country tourists. This hotel was ran by greedy, non genuine, cunning guy. This is the worst booking experience I ever had. I booked this looking at reviews but I was greatly disappointed.

Family holiday
Reviewed By AnnaL10533I don’t recommend this accommodation. Ok it is cheap but horrible, we booked a 75m2 family room and we got a maximum 20m2 room with lot of cockroaches. There isn’t a housekeeping , the place is dirty the bathroom was broken so we used the public toilets.
