Good hotel but not perfect
Reviewed By TokyoBStayed here in December 2020 and the Xmas dinner was a highlight. While the hotel is very good, it falls back compared to the Club at Busena where we stayed the previous 4 days due to the small balconies, self-parking (especially when it rains) and inconvenient location (we were stuck in traffic for over an hour). Also note that the indoor pool costs extra. Solid 4 stars, but maybe we will try the brand-new Honshinoya Okinawa next door for our next vacation.

Reviewed By melindag386We stayed for one week at this hotel. The room was fine but we had an obstructed view overlooking American Village. It would have been nice to have a clear view out the window for the week. The breakfast buffet was good and had enough variety for 7 days. We were disappointed that the beach was closed for reconstruction.

"La'gent Hotel Okinawa Chatan" feels the feeling of sophisticated American Beach. Grand Opening June, 2018. You can go to play photogeneric Mihama Town Resort American Village or Sunset Beach on foot. It usually takes less than 10 minutes to Okinawa Minami Inter in Okinawa Expressway and good access with car. Enjoy yourself at the marine sports, on the beach, the shops, cafés and restaurants as much as you want. For the best Okinawa trip

Reviewed By Venture04013618786Very reasonably priced, clean and modern hotel in American Village. The room was a bit small for the two of us and our 1-year-old. Would need a family room next time. But would be ideal for couples. Buffet breakfast was fresh and delicious. The only downside was we were getting second-hand cigarette smoke coming through our air conditioning from the guest next door who was smoking on his balcony. This was pretty disgusting.

The worst hospitality
Reviewed By PityaWhile other hotels I Okinawa offered some flexibility and put effort to serve their customers better, this hotel chose to follow their policy strictly and offered no hospitality at all. I stayed during the SOE declaration so the occupancy rate was really low. I asked for a late checkout and they said they had to charge me regardless of what other hotels do or no one staying at the hotel. All facilities are closed at the hotel and they didn’t put this information on their website. I found out at my checkin and of course they didn’t allow me to check in early too. Offering a bit of courtesy for their guests seems to be such a big deal for them. If you go to Chatan, just stay at other nicer hotels in the area and enjoy hospitality that this hotel doesn’t offer to their guests somewhere else.

Extra cost for the swimming pool

Bedroom is very spacious, bed is very comfy. - There was a washing/drying machine in the bedroom, what was excellent. There was plenty of amenities as well. - Staff is very attentive, kind and friendly. All information was provided in writen, in english, what was very good. - Location is perfect, walking distance to many restaurants, shops and beach. There's a Lawsons downstairs. The spa is fabulous. Clean, spacious, very well organized and spotless clean. The massages are excellent too. Cons: - The Premier building is a good 5 minutes walking from the main building. There is no front desk on the Premier, so if you need something you need to call front desk on the main building and wait. - All the facilities (pool, restaurant, front desk) are on the main building. Since there is no "direct connection" between the Premier building and the Main building, one has to walk on the street to go from one building to the other. It is specially unconfortable when it is raining. - I booked this hotel because of the gym and swimming pool. When I tried to use the pool, I was informed that I should PAY EXTRA for the use, per person and per day of use. This is absolutelly nonsense, because this info was NEVER present during the booking process. - I couldnt't use the gym as well, because it won't be open till september 2020. We've never informed about it as well during the booking or check-in process. - There was a beautiful balcony on my bedroom, however, no furniture on it. No table, no chairs that could be used outside, so we could enjoy some fresh air. Because of that, we couldn't enjoy the balcony at all. Overall, I think this place is overpriced for what we got. There are better options around the same area with a better cost-benefit and without any "hidden costs". Charging extra for the swimming pool is absolutely wrong.

Situated in Chatan, we are just 1 km from Sunset Beach and 1.2 km from Mihama American Village. Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and is equipped with a flat-screen TV. You will find a kettle in the room. Each room includes a private bathroom with a bath or shower and bidet, with slippers, free toiletries and a hairdryer provided. Both free WiFi and free private parking are available.

Reviewed By Mibz117Great hotel for a 3 star hotel! Staff here are friendly and most either speak good or conversational english! Convenience store and restaurants nearby that closes very late. About 15 mins walk from American Village. They provide parking space, AC, washing machine, dryer, microwave oven, water boiler, a heat plate to cook as well as utensils and kitchen ware to cook with. Whenever they made my room, it was done so well! I would definitely stay here again!

Typical 80s resort hotel , not a good value for money
Reviewed By ShuanitoIt is a typical 80s-90s style resort hotel (reminding me more of a Las Vegas type hotel). For the price we paid (around 200$ per night ) the service was rather ordinary. Breakfast would cost around 20$ extra per person, and 5$ per night for parking (beware of hidden costs!) I have been to much better hotels in Japan that offer a better value. The Onsen/Sauna was good, it also had an outdoor Onsen (not natural one though).

Great service and very good room for the price
Reviewed By notsensibleIt's a basic and simple hotel. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Although there was a small spider in my room that didn't bother me. Given the area surrounding the hotel though, that's not very surprising. The bed was your typical Japanese style bed, in that it was pretty hard. Not for everyone, but it is far from the worst as far as that goes. The bathroom was a decent size with a lot of counter space where the sink is. Normal bidet toilet and a full sized tub with a shower head. There was one very unique thing about that shower head though. That was probably the finest (i.e. smallest/narrowest) streams of water I've ever experienced. It was to the point that instead of water splashing after contact with the body, it felt like mist was coming off. The fridge was a normal sized compact one you'd see in most hotels. It can fit bottles and small food stuffs just fine. The hotel is certainly on the older side, but don't let that deter you from staying here. What it lacks in modern aesthetics, it makes up for in price and convenience. The parking lot is great since there's a huge one just outside of the lobby. Props to the front desk staff. I had accidentally locked myself out of the room one night (forgot to take the card key before leaving) and they helped me out with that right away.
