The owner of our guesthouse recommended Tatsumi when we wanted to have sushi at a place where the locals go. Fantastic and unpretentious restaurant with a super friendly couple behind the counter. We had the chef's recommendation and the sushi was fresh and delicious. We left the place with full bellies and warm hearts. I would highly recommend this place if you would like to experience some Nanao hospitality!

店長の魚に対する姿勢がいい。丁寧な仕事、七尾湾の魚を一番の状態で出す本当に美味しいお店ですがカウンターから眺めるお庭も九谷焼の器も素晴らしく、わざわざこの店に行くために和倉温泉を訪れても満足できる旅になります。

We were travelling in Japan and landed in Wakura Onsen. We asked for a good sushi and the recommendation we got was Janomezushi. They were right!They sushi we ate was delicious and the staff were really kind and friendly even though they spoke basic English. We can say it was an exprerience we'll remember and we definetely recommend it.

タクシーの運転手さんも太鼓判の鮨屋さん。昼に予約して伺いました。平日でしたが、最後のお客さんは座敷へのご案内でしたので、カウンター希望なら予約したほうが無難だと思います。酒肴は季節柄香箱があれば充分でしたが、その他色々あります。鰤カマなど流石に大きく、結構お腹一杯になります。地魚握りも11貫ほど供されるのでお腹一杯になります。酒の品揃えは大したことありませんが、地酒は数種類用意があります。地元の方々で賑わっておりますが、アウェイ感も無く、お値段もリーズナブルでお勧めです。

I was looking to try out this new restaurant as it hasn't been opened too long so we went on a Monday night . Was quiet which we did not mind! We were able to sit close and watch where sushi were being prepared for orders. We were given our tablet so we could order our meals. Service was infrequent for a quiet night and they seemed to not have many dishes as a number of them are only available on the weekends which is a shame and was disappointing considering it was not noted when we ordered from menu! This is having to reorder as majority of what we wanted to try was unavailable! This I would recommend you go on a weekend instead of a weekday to enjoy all of of the choices without any disappointments!! Makis and sashimis were fresh and delicious. Great tasting kimchee and kimchee fried rice!! Also other stir fry and tempuras were good. Great choices of beers, wines and sakis. I would give this another try but on a weekend to see their potential so that isn't I only rated a 3*! Bon appetit!!

With the weather not so good we were wondering where to go for lunch and after doing some search found this sushi restaurant having a good rating in local websites. It was not easy to find as it was not near the Wakura Onsen or the JR station, but fortunately since we were driving it was ok for us.The restaurant was surprisingly full on a normal working day in my opinion, and without booking we were fortunate that the staff arranged for us to sit in a small room, with good privacy. We ordered the chef's recommendation sushi set. As amuse bouche there is a prawn salad which is tasty.Then the sushi sets arrive, with tasty, fresh assortment of seafood. There is a total of 10 pieces, so we had a decent portion and not feeling hungry at all. Accompanying the set there is a miso soup of fish head which is so sweet and nice, but you have to be careful when eating the fish head as there are bones which might not be so friendly for foreigners who are not used to that.Overall a very good sushi place I recommend travelers.

What can I say. Blessed is the wordDay trip from Kanazawa. First time experience ever the fast train Thunderbird from Kyoto was delayed by 30 mins. Arrived about 3 pm in the afternoon with many restaurants closed at Wakuraonsen after lunch hours. This restaurant appears fairly new but what a delight. The thickest and freshest chirashidons ever eaten and at such a fantastic price ( beats all I've eaten in tokyo). In season were crabs and amberjacks which were fatty and succulent. If you are visiting Wakuraonsen it is a restaurant you will never never forget.. Never

I have been to this sushi place because of the local reputation as being one of the best sushi restaurant of Nanao! Yes, these 2 sushi chef brothers behind the counter provide a very refined-1/2-size-nigiri of the freshest fish of the day. Basically you have 2 choices of omakase menu: 2500 or 3000yen and you could still add any extra dish from your request. (I requested Sazae- turban shell). 90% of nigiri are already salted so needless to add soy sauce, just bring straight to your mouth and enjoy this adventurous taste of each creative pieces. Very advisable to book in advance particularly for those who want to have a seat between 12-1pm or 6-7pm. Please note no one speaks English, so better to go with a local person that you know for any communication!
