Dopo la visita alla Catedral de Sal siamo scesi nella cittadina di Zipaquira per pranzo e...dopo vari giri ci siamo fermati proprio alla Sucursal Paisa.Il locale è molto carino e caratteristico, le sedie con raffigurazioni particolari e alle pareti caricature di diversi personaggi conosciuti colombiani...molto gentilmente ci hanno preparato la super tavolata per tutto il gruppo e...il problema arriva sempre qui, non tanto l'ordinazione quanto il servizio dei piatti.Purtroppo siamo andati lunghi con i tempi, gli ultimi piatti sono arrivati quando gli altri avevano già finito...mi rendo conto che non fosse facile gestire il servizio di tutto il gruppo, però nemmeno impossibile o con tempi non così lunghi.A parte ciò, tutto buono, su quello non c'è dubbio.Ad ogni modo, se siete in giro alla ricerca di un posto dove mangiare è comunque una buona scelta.

Esta ubivado cerca de la Iglesia Diocesana tiene un ambiente calido me gusto la combinacion de la madera en mesas y sillas con las bitacas de estilo de terciopelo comida tipica colombiana te recomiendo si vas por la tarde un buen coctel.-

We arrived around 5:30 and were immediately told about the two beers on offer - a stout and an Irish red. The have a third (Golden?) but they were out. The beers were solid. Something I would happily drink in the USA. I'm a beer snob and they were not 5* beers but solid, true to style, and tasty. We ordered the papas bravas - only because the waiter was sure to explain these were potatoes with cheese and jalapeños- not the traditional Spanish tapa. They made a sauce they call sour cream - it's more like a cross between Ranch and sour cream that was excellent. I'm a norteamericana who will travel between cities to buy American style sour cream. So this sauce was a real find. They had live music starting at 9 (on a Saturday) and they were warming up while we were there. When they weren't playing the soundtrack and atmosphere were casual and comfortable, if loud. I highly recommend a visit for beer and bar food if you're in town. They are right next door to a BBB La Bodega, which I also like, but prefer to support to little guys.

Our driver to the salt cathedral swore this is the best meat place in town. I don't know if that's true, or if his buddy works there, but it was great. There was beef, pork, and capybara being cooked on spits over open fire. Seating is outside with good music and lots of people watching. Reasonable price and very generous meat portions.

O hambúrguer é excelente, com uma carne muito saborosa, e tem um tamanho bem satisfatório. As batatas fritas são perfeitas. Essa hamburgueria faz parte de um pequeno conjunto comercial que conta com outros restaurantes, entre a Catedral de Sal e o centro histórico.

Hello.Good service in the parking area, however, low quality food for the price they charge. Portions are minimal and do not have the taste that is expected to have. It used to be typical restaurant in the area, but since is located near the tourist area the quality went down. I was there a few times a while ago bit this weekend my family decided to visit the area and we were very disappointed.

Most people traveling in Zipaquira will be there for a tour of the salt mine/cathedral. Once you're done, stop for lunch at the Komilona Restaurant for fantastic slow food. Upon the advice of my travel guide, Henry, we enjoyed a pitcher of malted Coke and beer, a platter of fried plantains with melted cheese and various hot sauces, and then the main course: two filets of trout in a sizzling skillet of butter sauce. (Yes, each serving was two filets.) Sooo good. Sooo filling!

If you are in Zipaquira, Colombia. You must go and try a great Choripan in PARRILLA 56. I mean, is simply great and absolutely cheap (5000 pesos or 2.5 dollars) The bread is great, the taste of the chorizo is amazing, full of flavor and perfectly grilled. The use a delicious sauce "Chimichurri" giving the final "Kick" to the food. You should also try the "Pork bondiola" and the "Morcipan" I absolutely recommend this place.
