Safranbolu (Greek: Σαφράμπολις, Saframpolis) is a town and district of Karabük Province in the Black Sea region of Turkey. It is about 9 km north of the city of Karabük, 200 kilometres (120 mi) north of Ankara and about 100 km south of the Black Sea coast. The town's historic names in Greek were Theodoroupolis (Θεοδωρούπολις, i.e. city of Theodorus or female Theodora) and later Saframpolis (Σαφράμπολις). Its former names in Turkish were Zalifre and Taraklıborlu. It was part of Kastamonu Province until 1923 and Zonguldak Province between 1923 and 1995.

We found this wonderful restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try, because it had good reviews. We were not disappointed. In fact, we liked the food and the atmosphere so much that we came to eat here to nights in a row. Located in the city center this restaurant offers a great variety of local food. Everything is prepared fresh and quite quickly and it tastes amazing. The service is very friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their faces. We were sad to leave Safranbolu after staying there for two nights, because we would have come back here to eat for a third time for sure! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. The meal options were limited but our choices were excellent. The Turkish Ravioli and the stuffed grape leaves were delicious. The restaurant is charming with lots of eclectic decorations. And while it looks like it's going to be expensive, the prices were extremely reasonable

Whad two meals here. The location is good and it opens until late night.(but not everything is available during midnight). Staffs are very kind. We ordered Manti(Turkish dumpling), Köfte(Meatball), Yayim(turkish noodles), Peruhi(cheese dumplings) and Ãorba çesitleri(Lentil soup), all very good and delicious. Iâll recommend people come here if you stop by Safranbolu and look for something to eat. A good place. Even local turkish people recommend here;)
