It is a regional center of the traditional Slovenian region of Styria and the administrative seat of the City Municipality of Celje (Slovene: Mestna občina Celje). The town of Celje is located below Upper Celje Castle (407 m or 1,335 ft) at the confluence of the Savinja, Hudinja, Ložnica, and Voglajna rivers in the lower Savinja Valley, and at the crossing of the roads connecting Ljubljana, Maribor, Velenje, and the Central Sava Valley. It lies 238 m (781 ft) above mean sea level (MSL).

This place has authentic Slovenian food! Eggs for breakfast, "kranjska" sausage for lunch, and great Slovenian desserts. It also has great selection of vines from diffrent slovenian wine cellars. If you are in Celje and want to experiance Slovenian food, this is a place for you!!

Authentic Burek experience. They serve burek, yogurt and ice cream. Fast food, breakfast of Champions. Don't mind the interior, it's something that comes with authentic food like this. It's always fresh, when they run out of meat, they stop selling it, so be early!

We had just left the Old Counts Mansion and this nearby restaurant looked interesting. A family run place, the son translated the entire menu for us...we tried the chicken soup....great broth with many veggies and noodles, tasting as if just made and delicious; my husband tried a skewer of lean tender and tasty pork accompanied by rice topped with a nice tomato sauce; and I tried the penne with a light truffle sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese...heavenly. Both of our plates came with a fresh green salad. We split a slice of pear cake....what a wonderful meal....highly recommend this restaurant.

Our group had lunch there, the restaurant is near the city, very nice, food very good, portions huge, service fast and very polite, price are good, surroundings nice (they have their own mini zoo), parking of the restaurant for free. If you are in the neighbourhood just go there !Thank you for your review. Even if rated "average", it doesn't mean average on all fields. Design and ambient is great, also food is great. Only minus was service (nice, but without knowledge about food, wine, payment options...), also pushing us to finish soon, as "they have to work next day". P.S.: we also had to work next day, but we didn't see each other (group of 16 people) for almost a whole year...Still, if in Celje, I recommend to visit and have a (short) lunch.

Where to start!I loved this restaurant so so much. From the entrance where you feel like you are entering a medieval castle with the rose bushes everywhere and grand staircase to the beautifully decorated restaurant, the gorgeous terrace overlooking Celje castle, the whole place transports you to a magical place that's even before you taste the mind blowing food. The food is traditional slovenian with a modern twist. It's an experience like no other. The food is made with such love, you can feel it in every bite. The service is impeccable as well.Must say this is one of the most memorable restaurants I have ever been. It ticks all the boxes and I give it 10/10 in every single aspect. The husband had to literally drag me out of there, if it was up to me I'd stay there forever!Cant wait to go back

In the city center, nice hotel with big coffee place/restaurant. Good desserts, good coffee, big breakfasts (or in the coffee shop, or in the hotel dinning room (10 EUR for non-hotel guests). Didn't use the rooms, but they should be nice.

Professional and friendly staff. It is clean restaurant, but portions are really too big. Sometimes is too much of food, maybe for the hunger ones. They have good selection of beers, vine cart is not so good. For business meeting is too noisy. Good selection of sweets, cakes are home made, pizza is the best choice.

My boyfriend and I were there to try burgers. We decided to go with the cheapest one for 6,90⬠(I don't exactly remember the name) as the components looked like the ones for the usual burger.We got it fast (15-20 mins for crowded restaurant is normal). Brugers were ordered rare and medium, which we both got. Meat is really delicious. Improvements could be made in bread (potato bread for example), the rest was fine.Hi Alja, thanks for leaving a review! We appreciate it. You must be talking about Oscar Bilby burger. We were really excited when we introduced our new and improved burgers earlier this year. We even added some new flavors with great feedback! We would love to see you again soon.P.S. been there for dinner,restaurant was full so we sit close to the counter,but was very nice,the price was very good fot the quality and the quantity of food and the food was amazing. The presentation of the dishes was very impressive. Absolutely to try.
