The foods are good, and also nice place to enjoy the meals because we can relax in this place. This place is on the banks of Kahayan River, so you can see local people activity in the river, such as fishing, drive small boat, etc. However, this place is quiet unclean. The table and also the floor feel horrible. They don't do the cleaning properly every time the guests finished. I have to wipe by myself using wet tissues if I want to make sure I sit on clean place and eat on clean table. The serving is also takes long time. If you don't want to wait until you are starving, you better do the reservation first for place and foods. Tell them the time you arrive, so the foods are ready,too.

We pre-booked and pre-ordered our dishes so that we need not have to wait for long to have our dinner. That worked. As usual the fried Jelawat is a must. Very delicious. We also had tau hu taucio (bean curd in soy source in clay pot), fu yong tan (fried fu yong egg) and fried kang kong. We had a good dinner..

Pondok Ikan Bakar Asian located at Jln Piere Tendean, not far from Aquarius Hotel, serves seafood cooked in local flavour for foodies. Crabs, prawns, fish, cuttle fish, shellfish, fried chicken and a few varieties of vegetables are in the menu. While waiting for food to be served, I like the fried taufu as starter. The grilled fish, salted egg crabs, prawns fried with garlic, cuttle fish cooked in tauco (black bean sauce), bean sprout stirred fried with salt fish, kangkong belacan and fried brinjals are delicious. The restaurant's special cut chili fried with sambal goes well for those chilli lovers...great dinner on 13 Match, 2017 at Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan... cheers.
