Reviews on Pub food in Karlsruhe, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. In 1715, margrave Karl III Wilhelm decided he needed more space than he had in Durlach, so he moved his capital to Karlsruhe and had it designed in circular spokes around his new palace. Because of its unique radial shape, Karlsruhe is sometimes called the “fan city.” Home to Germany’s most important federal courts, the city accordingly teems with civil servants. Karlsruhe Schloss (castle) was badly damaged in World War II, but was rebuilt and is now home to the Badisches Landesmuseum.

Nothing special really. Quite much fast food. Big portions. Very nice service though and a quiet place to sit.

always crowded, a wide variety of beer and amazing burgers, and don't get me started on the chocolate fudge, was great.Recommended definitely in weekdays, prices are really cheap compared to the taste, size and quality. I ate the 339GM of beef and add some jalapeños and chilli sauce, and drank a Sierra Nevada Tornado, perfect Wednesday night out.

This restaurant does not have many different breakfast, lunch and dinner options, but the ones they have are really good! During my Eramus year in 2006/07 I must have gone to Die Kippe at least once every two weeks.

Just had the worst pizza in my whole life. It started with an uninterested waiter. Pizza was brought within 5 minutes. Later I knew why. I had a Calzone but everything inside was cold. The ham, the cheese wasn't even melted. Also the bolgnaise sauce was could. After telling them how worse the pizza was they cursed in Italian language and took away the plaids. No discount or an offer for something new. Just the bill. No tip from me. Avoid this restaurant.

Nice restaurant in the center of Karlsruhe. Normally you have a nice view from the terrace, nowadays it's more like the construction site for the underground tram (also interesting at times, however). It's great for sitting outside on a sunny day. During weekends there are also parties in the evenings/nights. The food is simple and very tasty. They have a nice selection of schnitzel. I love especially the tarte flambée Marktlücke (Flammkuchen). There is also a nice selection of beer, rum and whisky. Service is okay, a bit slow at times when the restaurant is full.
