We ate at Franco's restaurant on two occasions. First evening (Friday) restaurant was very busy with large tables of diners and local family celebrations, we pre-booked our table. Waiter promptly served us, we had Linguine al Ricci (sea urchins) to start followed by fillet steaks with mushroom sauce, a mixed salad, mixed fresh fruit desert, glass of Nergroamara red and nice Chardonnay. The food was lovely, freshly prepared and tasty. Great attentive waiter who even though very, very busy, looked after us very well with a smile.Second visit restaurant was less busy (Tuesday evening) we chose Anti Pasti meats selection to share, then both decided on a Pizza as we don't normally eat them at home. Diavolo and Quatro Stagione and a mixed salad. For dessert we had panna cotta fruita da bosco to share. Nergroamara red wine. All our food was again freshly cooked and well presented.

After a warm welcome by (the son) of the owner we got our delicious antipasti. After the secondy a dessert was almost to much so we wanted an limoncello. After one look at the dessert we still got one, it looked like heaven, and it was like heaven. What a lovely spot, great food and even more lovable people.

Capitato per caso sono rimasto Veramente sorpreso. Servizio gentile e cordiale, ottime le cozze, eccellente la linguina al riccio. Calamari un po meno ma assolutamente vale una visita. Conto non so in quanto ho preferito scrivere prima...

This is not our first visit to the Canape in Salice Salentino. We have been here many times before and are never dissappointed so felt I should share our experience. The food is excellent and the prices are good. There seems to be the same chap each time we go serving and he always recognises us even though it was a year since our last visit. He is friendly and great at giving advise on what to order. We are going back to Italy in September so will definately be eating here.

Vi siamo andati con amici del posto, che lo frequentano da moltissimi anni e che sono legati al posto per ricordi d'infanzia, in quanto una volta vi era un'azienda che produceva gelati, tra cui la famosa "pipa" (gialla o rossa=colori del lecce)conosciutissima dai bambini. Si entra in una sorta di grande capannone, dove vi accoglie una piccola area bar che si apre poi da una parte su un enorme salone (che da quanto ho capito viene usato anche per feste di compleanno, eventi ecc) ed un grande giardino con giochi e tavolacci di legno, dove potersi godere un buonissimo spumone o un "caffettino". Personale gentilissimo e ottimi gelati artigianali.

Abbiamo trovato questo locale cercando su Tripadvisor, fidandoci dei commenti positivi, che confermo. Abbiamo trovato un locale informale ma comunque accogliente, pizza buona e digeribile (neppure il senso di sete che spesso si ha dopo la pizza) nonché prezzi onesti. E poi nessun problema di parcheggio, dettaglio non irrisorio ad agosto. Ci ritorneremo!

Locale con una grande scelta di tipi di pizze. Oltre a quelle del menù ti propongono anche le pizze del giorno. Pizze nella media, ben condite ma troppo cotta per miei gusti. Personale gentile. Servizio veloce. Conto giusto.

Arrivati alle 21:15 con amici.Finalmente dopo mezzâora di attesa e al secondo sollecito arriva il cameriere per le ordinazioni. Frittini della casa arrivati relativamente subito ma tiepidi e senza sale... vabbè pazienza!Ma lâattesa per le pizze è snervante, arrivate dopo 2 ore e più !!!A tutto câè un limite.Ad allietare un poâ tutto il sapore della pizza, direi più che buona.Peccato perché sarebbe stata una bella serata se non fosse stato per la mancanza di organizzazione del personale che ha causato questa attesa delle pietanze veramente logorante....

High season might not have started yet (start of July and does it really matter?) but we were faced with a number of dishes which were not available. Very disappointing when you've set your mind on a course. Classic Vitello Tonato as a starter was straight forward disappointing. Other starters and main courses were fine. Besides certain dishes that were not available, apparently the same was valid for red wine (in Apulie!!!). We ordered 1 liter of the house red but we were served the rosé. To our luck the rosé was excellent ( especially taken into account the price of EUR 4.50 / ltr).

Una serata particolare in un pub ben allestito per questa festa , con personale travestito appositamente. Posto carino , si può mangiare dalla pizza agli hamburger nel complesso discretamente; mentre 10 e lode per Accoglienza e simpatia del personale.
