If I could give Taybat restaurant 10 stars, I will do. The restaurant has a professional smiley staff. I enjoyed with Thursday's seafood dinner and Friday's BBQ dinner buffet and also breakfast buffet, they have a wide variety of delicious international cuisines which are appropriate for most people. Definitely worth a visit. Quite a busy restaurant but has good turnaround time so you can get a table after waiting for a bit. The food was really good - of course it is hard core indian so go there only if you want south indian style indian food.

We had the tuna Nicoise, the tuna was excellent, overly generous with the olives (better that than mean with them), my poached egg was poorly presented but it all tasted good and with good service.

As bad the Hilton Salalah Hotel is in total (see my related review), as good is the attached a la card restaurant âPalm Groveâ. The (indian/lebanese) food is really enjoyable as well the drinks are. We can recommend both vegetarian dishes as well the chicken tandooris. You have a nice view to the beach and sea if you choose the table in the right corner. The only drawback is the pricing, expect doubling, tripling or even quadrupling the bill you find in great restaurants within the city.

The Island Restaurant is an excellent choice in Salalah. It is in a picturesque location in the harbour. The staff were fantastic. They were were all very polite and attentive. A choice of different cuisines - but my favourite was the lemon mousse. Cocktails were pleasant as you soak up the tropical atmosphere. Great value. Liked it so much we dined on three nights.

You want to get away from the tourist hassle? Go to the Oasis club. Best time is in the late afternoon; have a sundowner overlooking a beautiful bay and add a nice dinner continental or Indian style.
