You want to get away from the tourist hassle? Go to the Oasis club. Best time is in the late afternoon; have a sundowner overlooking a beautiful bay and add a nice dinner continental or Indian style. In case you are with a group of friends, you can also play some bowling or pool or watch a match; all in a perfect setting.

The Island Restaurant is an excellent choice in Salalah. It is in a picturesque location in the harbour. The staff were fantastic. They were were all very polite and attentive. A choice of different cuisines - but my favourite was the lemon mousse. Cocktails were pleasant as you soak up the tropical atmosphere. Great value. Liked it so much we dined on three nights.

Nothing fancy here, just a British style pub serving up beer, liquor, and small-plate style pub food in a relaxed atmosphere. Can get busy when important sporting matches are being televised. Otherwise typically laid back.

We loved this place for an evening drink, you can sit outside and see the ocean while being served by the excellent Rajeesh, Wakej and Prabshub, they make fabulous cocktails. They also do very good light meals etc, a great place to start the evening., very comfortable and relaxing
