Located at Ichiban machi, business hour 11am-3pm, 6pm-2am (Saturday, Sunday & festival day from 5pm). I order the Miyazaki famous charcoal-grilled chicken, fried tamago (w soup) & Nichinan orange juice, this cost me 2182yen. All 3 order r very good in taste.

It's a big restaurant and has pictures, but not english menu. Pointing is easy if you can't read. There are many sauces you can go half and half on your plate. For a set lunch you can get a drink (ice coffee, latte, etc), your meal (big!!) and a piece of cake/pie at the end. You won't leave hungry. All that for about 1000yen (or 10$). I recommend!

Once again, Japanese food, culture and service will overwhelm a foreign traveler that does not know what to expect. The Cosmos Cafe in the Miyazaki airport is no exception. The food is very good (hot and fresh), the service is typical Japanese (very attentive wait staff) and rich in tradition and culture. We all had a different dish and each one was made perfectly and in a timely manner. We only went to this Cafe. The airport has another 5, or so, on the 3rd floor. I suspect they are all good. Else they would not be allowed to stay in business here. Travelers that are use to passing thru usa airports are really be short changed by the service difference from that and Japanese. But, I guess if the the travelers just accept the low standards of other cultures and do not complain to management, that is what they are going to get. We prefer Japanese. This location will NOT disappoint you.

Miyazaki beef have a different level of juiciness. It's not very thick, but it's satisfying (compared to someone like me who only ate Aust beef the whole time). The floor is oily... the whole room smells like meat... you see blood on plates... you see meat eater... a steak house should be like this!Have a try here. It's a different experience.

Chicken nanban is a local delicacy which was originated by Ogura. Chicken, marinated wih vineger and deepfried, served with tartar sauce. Yummy.

We had both breakfast and dinner here and were impressed with the great variety (Japanese; Chinese; Korean; Western (they had an "action week" of French and German cuisine - what a combination!).Apart of the usual self service buffet, there were several chefs at the ready to prepare certain dishes freshly for you. All non-alcoholic beverages were unlimited as was their really good coffee. An in-house bakery is next door.

Tucked away in an alley of Miyazaki City, Ogura is a charming, kitschy restaurant with the Miyazaki specialty: Chicken Nanban (chicken marinated in soy sauce, deep fried, and coated with a tangy tartar/mayonnaise sauce). Ogura has the best in Miyazaki. This is comfort food at its finest, in a comfortable, homey atmosphere!
