The restaurand is very modern (there is a big bar and a club downstairs as well)The problem is smoke coming from the bar to the restaurant. It's difficut to talk as it's very loud. The food was good, but poor choice of the wines. The service is very kind and nice

Restaurant/ Hotel Restaurant Traube, Dorf 85, Bildstein, A-6858, www.hotel-traube.at. Listed on Trip Advisor as a Hotel (one of the best I have been at), the restaurant should stand on its own as well. It is excellent!The Owner has a very accomplished kitchen and chef. The views are magnificent. The local red wines excellent and the wine list is long. We had the Chateaubriand for 2 and it was excellent with more than we could eat. Reservations suggested so you can get a window seat. The corner table is the best so you have a view of both the lake, mountains, and valley. The table by the door may not be great if people are going in and out. And, since you can also have a room, you can drink to your heartâs content.

This was such a fabulous find.The menu has something for every taste, there is also a set menu for 3 or 4 courses.When the food arrived it looked & smelled wonderful, generous servings & piping hot.The presentation outstanding.Desserts were also generous & truly delicious.Wine by the glass is reasonable to.A restaurant in a small hotel away from the tourist strip.We went here twice on a weekend i would recommend you book.There is seating outside if the weather is lovely.If not the smaller restaurant inside is very cosy & has a lovely atmosphere. This is a well run restaurant & all the waitresses are very friendly.2 mains, 2 desserts, 4 glasses of rosso wine & 2 espresso â¬99.So fantastic we went back for a 2 nd visit..

Siamo qui , in questa area dell'Austria in viaggio di lavoro e siamo arrivati da pochi minuti dopo un viaggio di circa cinque ore dall'Italia ....Il tempo e' relativamente mite anche se siamo a metà di Novembre e questa cosa ci è particolarmente gradita !Son passate da poco le ore 13,00 e lo stomaco comincia un po' a ...... " borbottare " in maniera decisa : quindi è ora di trovare un posticino per " ricaricare le batterie " e poi proseguire nella giornata .Avendo la fortuna di avere con noi a bordo un Amico che parla molto bene il Tedesco , c'è ne serviamo per cercarci una Location ove pranzare e così - dopo qualche " sondaggio " con Gente del posto - raggiungiamo questa Struttura ....Da fuori si presenta molto bene , con quella sua aria di " abitazione " semplice ma molto accattivante ; dentro gli ambienti sono molto confortevoli e ben arredati secondo il classico stile di queste parti : tanto legno dappertutto ed una bella STUBE di maiolica in un angolo !Ordiniamo qualcosa di veloce e senza troppi .... " fronzoli " brodosi : un taiere di affettati ( Speck su tutti ) ed un Secondo a base della classica Cotoletta di manzo con patate di contorno ....Naturalmente come bevanda scegliamo la Birra di qui ( una BIONDA abbastanza leggera ! ) ) che sorseggiamo con gusto .Servizio molto professionale e cordiale da parte di una graziosa Fraulen che ci ha servito con sollecitudine .Tutto molto tedesco !Siamo stati soddisfatti !

Helpful waiters, a rare commodity in some places, excellent food and such a fantastic setting in a traditional Austrian town square. We were really impressed by Dornbirn as a destination, a little over shadowed by Bregenz and lake Konstanz, but the area has so much to offer a brilliant Rolls Royce Museum and a Gorge of amazing proportions and it looks like some where from Lord of The Rings! So worth a visit

Stayed at the hotel and had dinner at the restaurant. Food was good, service too. Had some exciting wines in the wine list, too. So that part of the experience merits a four, or four plus. Breakfast was Worth five, easily. Super! Fabulous breakfast, best ever! Would go for that alone!

We went here for birthday celebrations recently and it was nice. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good. I ordered a steak and asked for it to be well done and sadly it wasnât well done at all. I had to ask the waiter to make sure it was well done and then when it came back, it was slightly burnt and our friends were already half way through their meals. We also ordered the garlic bread and only 2 slices were garlic and the other 2 were covered in some kind of tomato purée. It was nice though and pleasant to eat there - a little pricey but nice for a treat every now and then.
