Should have read the reviews before going here. Staying in Kenzi Tower, I thought this was the closest Indian restaurant and the menu seemed pretty welcoming. Alas, how wrong I was. There seemed to be just one waiter who was doing everything. He was unwelcoming and absolutely rude in his mannerisms. For a person running an Indian restaurant, he seemed to hate Indians. When I was specific on my type of food, he started lecturing me on how I should eat and what type of food he will serve. We had to explain to him that we were not aliens and this was not our first visit to a restaurantBut the worst was yet to come.I went with an Egyptian colleague of mine who was unwell. He still accompanied me since he wanted a change and also some company. The waiter was particular that both of us ordered food as he refused to serve only my order. I tried explaining that my friend was unwell and he will not have any food. The waiter was still adamant that since we are 2 people, we need to order two separate main course dishes. This was ridiculous and astonishing. I tried my best to tell him that I am ordering only for myself, but in vain. Finally we had to get up and leave the place without eating. The waiter was least bothered and dint even acknowledge the frustration. He simply seized the menu cards from our hand and went inside.I have a funny Feeling that this guy is insane and a disgrace to the Indian community. This place is to be avoided like the PLAGUE purely for the haughty staff.I recommend INDIA PALACE and CLAYPOT instead for choice of Indian restaurants.

It took us sometime to find this place. I must say that the entrance is very inviting plus the deco of this whole restaurant is simply amazing. You will see a huge peacock artwork on the left wall as you walk into the restaurant. We had Dal Tarka which was served in this lovely bronze pail. The taste was pretty good with good balance of flavours, nothing empowering simply light and easy. However, I find the the Paneer dish to be a little too sweet to my liking. The naans were soft and warm. The Gajar Halwa had nice texture and mouthfeel; but could have been a little less sweet though. The owner is nice and friendly. Overall good place to dine!
