I was visiting my mother in Burnaby and decided to treat her for Diwali. My mother is a great cook and she loved the food and the taste was amazing including the masala tea.Got talking to the lovely Punjabi girl and she was brilliant at customer service and really pretty. I invited her to visit me in London for a tour. Mum and I both enjoyed the food and my chick peas with fresh bhatura was amazing. The food presentation was also very professional. She was young but I called her Bhainjee and she laughed. Well recommended.

Pulled in thinking (based on the name and outside appearance) that this was a standard Canadian style generic restaurant. What a lovely surprise when we walked in and smelled delicious Indian spices! We shared the vegetable samosas - highly recommend - completely delicious. I got a chicken kebab and rice, hubby got the same but beef version. We both loved our meals. The server was lovely. Really happy we stumbled upon this place!

In the mood to try out a new restaurant, we went to the Indian Wok in Burnaby three days ago, but only after we had read all the rave reviews about it and were convinced that with so many people vouching for it, the food must be really good. Unfortunately, the food was not up to all the hype, and it was neither Indian nor Chinese, and regrettably so. Frying everything dipped in batter does not make it Indian, and adding a Chinese sauce to the batter-fried item does not make the dish âfusionâ cuisine, so to speak. All the items we ordered tasted the same - the chillie beef, masala fish fry, chillie chicken - all came fried in batter. Even the Manchurian chicken noodle dish had batter-fried chicken strewn on the top. The chef had just added Manchurian sauce to the whole thing. Our son barely ate a few mouthfuls, then asked for it to be packed and taken home, where it sat in the fridge and was thrown into the trash can the next day. The masala rice was so bland I had to add chillie paste to it. The only saving grace was the chicken dumplings we ordered as an appetizer. It came with an exquisite garnish on top, and starting off with those delectable dumplings, we were misled into thinking that the other items would be great as well. The $75 plus we spent for the three of us was money ill-spent, in my opinion. Would we return to the Indian Wok or recommend it to others? I donât think so.

This is only the 2nd time in my life I never left a tip. The restaurant was maybe 1/4 full on a Thursday night and they looked staffed appropriately. It took awhile for them to take our order and 45 minutes in they said they were out of lamb. You have not even cooked my food yet? You would think there would be better communication between workers and your customer sooner so I expected my substitute dish to come out soon. We could see that a handful of take out orders were moving through. I have never experienced such slow service. Other customers too had trouble getting attention. They apologized when they served the first dish... and after finish eating it we wondered where the 2nd dish was? They were lucky we had intended to share otherwise I could have been waiting. When we told them if our 2nd entree is not ready basically now we wanted our bill. After a few minutes we approached the counter to say we wanted the bill again as we had to go and then they advised to take the dish as takeout which I did only because I was still hungry at full cost. The food itself was fine. We had the chicken tikka curry dinner special there and side order of cilantro and onion naan and ended up with the chicken korma at home. When I opened the takeout bag, no rice, no naan/salad.Dear guest,We apologies for your bad experience at Siddhartas Kitchen. That day we had a bigger catering order because of which we ran out of most of our food options. It was one of those bad days where we had some issues in the kitchen. We are very sorry that you had to experience this disappointment with our service. Please give us a second chance and we will make sure that this never happens with you and other customers again. We will make sure that you leave with a big smile on your face.

Beautifully decorated restaurant. Excellent, warm, personable service. Nice cocktail list. Lots of street parking. We had a fantastic meal: papri chaat, fish pakora, lamb biryani and malai chicken tikka. Lovely food flavors which we enjoyed also as leftovers.

A group of 10 went on a Sunday for the lunch buffet. It was quiet when we arrived at noon, but shortly after the restaurant filled up and was busy. The buffet was fairly simple but with enough variety to satisfy most customers. The food was very tasty and the buffet was kept well stocked. Naan is brought fresh to the table and was nice and warm. So good.
