What a hidden treasure. Such great ambience, authentic Italian food and awesome service. Our friend had pre-ordered all the appetizers and the main course and everything was top notch. The waitress made sure that the appetizers were being brought 2 at a time, not all together, which gave us a chance to really relish them as well as chat away. The personal touch of the Owner Cam coming by to say a Hello and then offering us Sambuca on the house was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be going back to this restaurant, hopefully real soon

I love this place! Viva Sue is a family owned and operated pizza shop. There are a few tables to eat in and a limited number of parking spots in the small strip mall. If my office was still nearby, I'd be ordering more often. But since we've moved, I go there periodically whenever I'm in the neighbourhood. They are a short walk from Burnaby Village Museum, in the heart of Burnaby.Order ahead of time if you want to take out. They do offer delivery. And they are extremely busy with business orders during the daytime on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Osteria Savio Volpe is a restaurant styled after the classic osteria - rustic fare in the Italian tradition of freshness and regionality, using groceries gathered in the nearby lakes, oceans, farms and fields. Everything is prepared in the simplest, most
One of the most incredible meals of my long life! Two couples celebrating my birthday. To a person, every staff member who interacted with us was gracious and warm. The hostess, the server, the sommelier, the lovely young man who cleared our plates and refilled our water glasses. But the food! OMG. We chose the familia style and let them choose our menu. Seven courses of fresh, inspired magic. Because it was a milestone birthday celebration, we went all out and had wine pairings with each - which enriched the experience that much more. Just everything was perfect. Can't rave enough about the "wise fox." Yes, it's noisy and crowded, but that's part of the atmosphere - in a good way. Treat yourself and find out what all the fuss is about!

Even though the restaurant is a bit loud for my taste the amazing food and brilliant wine selection make this restaurant a must visit. Friendly service and a great location with plenary of parking on the street or underground. You wonât be disappointed.

I had the classic spaghetti and meatballs. First bad thing- they put the meat balls under (?!) the spaghetti- hidden away like it's camouflaged. Not exactly helpful when you expect to see the meatballs on top!Second was the spaghetti- very al dente- in fact barely cooked!Third- the meat sauce- I don't know what they put in it but it gave me indigestion for 6 hours. I could still taste it at 7pm! Nice layout- good service but the food- meh... Sorry to sayHi Mark, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. Authentic Neapolitan Pizzeria in the heart of East Van... bringing you la Vera pizza Napoletana straight from our wood fire oven!
We, a group of 8, went to this restaurant for dinner. We had a reservation for 7:30 but did not get seated till about just before 8. That is fine. We understand you were busy. We were asked by one young lady if we want to sit together, we have to wait for one other table to vacate before we can do so. But, if we didn't mind separating into 2 tables, then we can sit down right away. We were fine with that. So, we were told to sit at the two tables at the front. We all sat down. Then another young lady, a Hispanic looking, came and asked us if we minded to move to the back corner. So, we got up, but decided we did not like that table. Then another young lady asked if we mind one corner table at the front and one table in the back corner. We decided we just want to go back to the 2 front tables that were originally shown to us. During all this chaos, the short Asian girl said "Can you people just decide where you want to sit, your are holding up the people waiting outside!". She said it 3 times. Wow, This was very rude. We had already sat down at the tables shown to us. It was the staff that wanted to move us around. I did not see this young lady go to tables that were finished and say this to them to get them out. After all this, the young Asian lady and the Hispanic looking lady kept giving us the dirty look. Very rude. I also saw them saying not so nice things with their lips quietly. Our adult children have been there and recommended this place over the other pizza restaurants. So, we brought guests from out of town. They could not believe how rude the staff were. There are many other places to go. If they think they can just give customers a hard time, it won't take long to lose them. Our server was great, but these two girls mentioned were not nice at all. Customers should be treated like customers, not like crap. How can we enjoy our food after being insulted like that.

The place was good. My boyfriend's pizza looked amazing. I had the gluten free crust and it was a bit cardboardy - but the toppings were good. At least they had the gluten free option.

Arrived at 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon to a full restaurant. Very small foyer at the entrance so folks have to wait in a queue on the sidewalk out front. They do take names and will come out and get you when itâs time to be seated. Surprisingly we only waited 5 minutes but the line up was building. An extensive menu with many choices of pasta. Fresh buns from a local bakery to start. Our server was great considering how busy she was. One in our party ordered a âbakedâ dish and the server advised it would take 30 minutes to prepare. Well worth the wait for the food. Huge portions so if you donât have a hungry man appetite or donât share, youâll be taking left overs home. Will definitely return.

Simple and fresh is really what Italian home cooking is all about. At Trattoria the menu reads like a summer in Italy, with classic ingredients, masterfully combined, and served without a lot of fuss and bother. This is what Italian food should be.
First time here and had brunch and our experienced was very good. The place was nice very and close to Metrotown mall and Patterson SkyTrain. The staff especially our server Frankie is friendly and accomodating. The Trattoria Breakfast I ordered is very good from presentation to taste. I love everything on my plate. Will definitely go back here with other friends for their dinner menu. Highly recommended to try.
