After having been recommended this by our hotel and furthermore the good reviews on TripAdvisor, we were sorely disappointed by this evenings dining experience. We were shown to a table in the middle of the restaurant (despite there being available better placed tables) and our orders were taken relatively quickly. We both opted for steak, entrecôte for me, and strip for my partner, both were requested medium rare, both came out blue. The meat itself was OK, nothing to write home about. A lot of fat on the new york striploin, and my entrecôte was somewhat stringy. About halfway through our meal the disinterested waitress came by and asked if "everything is OK with the food" - I started to say the meat was a little undercooked, but she had already gone proving it was nothing more than a token gesture where she couldn't have cared less about the response. Later the owner (?) came by to ask if we were happy, by this time we had finished the meal and I said, again, the meat was undercooked but the meat was good - he sort of shrugged it off and said "the meat was good thought right?". Sure, it was fine, would have been better had it been cooked to what I asked though. To his credit, he did offer coffee when we were paying the bill, which we declined. For almost 300kr per dish (250gr) we expected better. Otherwise, the beer and burger prices were reasonable, the owner friendly and there is a wide selection of drinks.It could have been the fact it was Sunday evening, but we both left full yet strangely unsatisfied..won't be going back here.

This is easily the best place for lunch in Linköping. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is excellent and the price is right. Every day there's a different vegetarian and non-vegetarian main course, as well as the week's international main. If none of those appeal then you can opt for chicken or prawns with their varied salad buffet. The price includes home-baked bread, salad buffet, coffee/tea and biscuits.I go there regularly with friends, family and colleagues from work and none of us have ever had a bad meal. The only slight downside is that it's now so popular that you have to get there early if you want to find a table for a larger group.
