Delightful simple timber tavern/Gasthaus reachable only by foot about an hour's beautiful walk along the rushing Horlachbach from Niederthai. As you'd expect, completely quiet, aside from the occasional sound of goats. Built in 1899, the Lartighof retains its antique character with cute (if somewhat low-ceilinged) dining rooms inside with lots of old photographs. There's an attractive outdoor terrace with views of the mountains. It offers Austrian basics - I was tempted by the Frankfurters but opted for and enjoyed their Goulash soup with Landbrot and a bottle of Zipfer. Pretzels on offer on tables. Nice service and there's also a 'Streichelzoo' where children can stroke the goats. Bill was well less than â¬10.

Slightly off the main thoroughfare and still quite busy, which is often a good sign. The clear soup with pancake was fine but smaller than many; the garlic cream soup was very nice and is seriously creamy.The fitness salad was a little basic and the Tirolean potato / beef / bacon dish with an egg on top had a lot of oil / grease which meant it was heavy going.The service was good, but the food was a disappointment overall.

Best bacon dumplings (speck knodel) I had in Austria! Surprisingly low-priced with no competition on the mountain.Great farmers (smoked) sausage also!Great play areas for children to entertain themselves and burn-off energy.

Very big reastaurant, but in the noon not enought :-) Very nice food, not very cheap, but very nice. big selection of food (local and international and desers). coffee was not very nice (you can not get expresso, just big american coffee). big tabels.

These spots need to be preserved for future generations. Located at the foot of the Ladis Castle, this restaurant had not seen any changes in decor or ambiance over last 50 odd years. Warm welcome, dated interior that every visitor accepts as being part of the deal and really nice food. Great white wine (Grüne Veltlinger!!).Prices are fair.

After a climb next to the waterfall we had lunch here.It was very tasty and also quite affordable! The waiters were friendly but seemed quite unorganized.Also, please be more generous with the lemon next time. I could not squeeze a single drop out of it :p

We were invited for a wedding at this restaurant. The staff were very nice and serving very quickly. Also during the drinks, they came over and chat with some of us, without being late to do their work. Although it's just business, we felt like it was run by a nice family inviting us.The food they ordered was delicious! We have also seen other guests with fantastic looking food on their plates! And judging by their faces, it must have been very good.We enjoyed the wedding with this amazing view and were very inspired by the nature around us.

We have been here after being at aquadome. We arrived at 9p.m. outside was written kitchen open 10p.m., owners se me and my girlfriend waiting to be placed, they just let us waiting 15 mins before just shrug. We left, but before I check and there was empty tables... so just unkind and lazy.Very bad.Not suggested if you arrive after 8 p.m.
