Excellent traditional pub. Very good homemade beer and typical food. The choice is not very wide and international (such as restaurants). And this is the biggest advantage of this pub.All the food is great! I praised also very good and authentic atmosphere. If you ask the owner shows you the part where are producing a beer. Very interesting.

didnt eat here although they do have a wonderful menu just popped in for a quick drink on the way home very cosy inside decided to sit outside and be nosy watching the locals

Some nice little touches lifted this meal. Fresh bread rolls, and lovely little sugar biscuits with my herbal tea. Menus all in German as this area is a little off the tourist trail. The menu had a range of prices for bistro type dishes around â¬15 to much dearer options. Meal included bread, dips and a salad.

As a holiday destination Germany has much to offer, picturesque small towns like Traben Trabech or Wiedenbruck with it's romantic half-numbered houses and medieval buildings, hospitable people, a diverse art and cultural heritage and traditional restaurants serving delicious regional dishes. This pub dates back to 1686 and was ever a meeting place in the centre of town for locals of all ages. A venerable building, great atmosphere and hearty food served by friendly staff is what the Fuchshohle is all about. The translation of it's name is another story for another time!

15 points in Gault Millau
Reuter was highly recommended by our local customers. When I arrived on a Thursday evening, I was a bit surprised, that the dining was mostly empty, there were only 2 other table of guests beside us.To start, the young server seems to be quite new and inexperienced. We ordered an appetizer and then Monk fish as the main dish. The 8 of us was cramped into a table, that should have seated 6 people. we were rubbing elbows in a very hot weather, while the tables around us were empty. ( why couldn't they put one more table together, and gave us more room ?) Anyways, we waited a long time for the drinks, the appetizer was not bad, but, honestly, I don't remember what I had for an appetizer, if that tells you something. The monkfish was a major disappointment. From cutting into the fish, I could tell, that the texture does not feel right. And my first bite told me,, the fish was left unfrozen for an extended period of time, the fish meat is soft and a bit of mushy. It was not fresh or should I say, it might have been sitting for quite a while already. After the dinner, the waiter never came to give us the bill. We had to go to the cashier, to ask for a bill. Needless to say, the service was rather slow, and the food was disappointing.

Came to have a look around as my mother in law wanted to show us where she had her leaving party. Hearing we were English, the waitress quite sharply declared there was no space to eat. My father in law commenced with fluent German and her attitude completely changed. Obviously there was still no space but she explained why and for how long. Perhaps it was just a language barrier. It is a lovely building though.

We were with family in Rheda-Wiedenbruck, and were keen on a bite to eat.Emshaus is a little drive from the center of the city, but entirely worth it.Service is outstanding, and in English if German is not your chosen language. You can choose to sit inside, but they have a lovely view from their terrace in the summer.Food is excellent - our party had the duck and fish respectively. Both were superbly presented and each mouthful a morsel of delight.
