Lovely walk around the Schloss. Was there in winter, the nature reserve is charming. Lots to do with children as well

Very nice place to visit! We're in Spring and it was cold here, so we couldn't see too many flowers but it was nice, quiet, interesting and also very clean. Very cold, too. It was a rainy day but this wasn't an obstacle for us. Lots of trees, some flowers and grass, plants, beautiful alleys and benches - very beautiful and relaxing place. Not far away from the Botanical Garden you can find "Stadtpark" - a great park and a "must see" for those who love the nature. I wish to visit Botanical Garden one more time but later, in April maybe, when the weather will be ( just maybe) more beautiful and calm and friendly. I hope so...

We took four teenagers of varying abilities and confidence. All loved this park. Safety briefs were thorough and information was detailed. Very we arranged layout and challenging course.

Das Theater Gütersloh ist eine große Bereicherung der Kulturszene in Ostwestfalen. Das Programm ist sehr vielfältig und abwechslungsreich gestaltet und bietet regelmäßig echte Highlights. Neben klassischen Theaterstücken - z.B. Shakespeare - oder moderner Yasmin Reza - gibt es hier Gastspiele das Ohnsorg-Theaters, Kindertheater, Jazzkonzerte, Kabarett, Streichkonzerte/Sinfoniekonzerte, Ballett, Fotoausstellungen uvm.
Als Künstler waren hier z.B. schon Pat Metheny, Diana Krall, Hannelore Elsner, John Malkovich, Bobby McFerrin, Klaus Maria Brandauer, Till Brönner, Ben Becker oder Johanna Wokalek zu hören und zu sehen.
Auch architektonisch ist das Theater unbedingt einen Besuch wert. Mit seinem klaren Gestaltungslinien und der blendend weißen Fassade ist es ein wirklich elegantes Gebäude. Das Prunkstück des Theaters befindet sich jedoch im Inneren: die ebenfalls blendend weiße Spiraltreppe, die den Übergang in jeweils andere Stockwerke bei diesem "vertikalen Theater" ermöglicht.
Ganz oben kann man sich in der Skylobby bei Cocktails und sonstigen Getränken stärken.
Fazit: Für Kulturinteressierte führt in OWL (fast) kein Weg am Theater Gütersloh vorbei.

The church just off center of town is beautiful, its grounds charming and doors were open. You can walk virtually all around the church.
