Small place with some outdoor tables. There are also two small huts where you can sit and it..great choice when you need some privacy :-) staff was really friendly, wooden oven, a lot of people inside..carbonara was tasty, pizza with rucola and parma too. Its maybe not a place for a date ..but a place to chat with people and eat some good italian food.

I guess this is one of the best restaurants in this area. Good food and very friendky staff. And a good selection of wines

THE best restaurant around - generous food portions, quality service and a homely decor reminding you of a Mediterranean country. Shots of free Ouzo get you started, on the house....lovely salads/starters, amazing main meal, shot of cherry brandy to wash down. I love the standard/food/people - you will seriously struggle to find a better restaurant in Gutersloh.

Went to this place to celebrate a 70th birthday. Fantastic atmosphere, a mix of old style homeliness and traditional brew house. They brew their own beer on the premises, which is great by the way, and there is brewing paraphernalia all around, copper pipes and the like.
The food was easily the best we had during this trip to see the out-laws! Really tasty, good portions, reasonably priced. Recommended.

When ever we're in town we simply have to visit Bar Alex.
It's a great venue.
Fair bit of outside Seating and a lovely rooftop Terrace.
On our latest visit the sun was belting so we enjoyed some time on the roof.
It was a lovely lunch. We love their Flammkuchen! My wife had the original and I had the one smothered with pulled pork. I highly recommend it!
Our friends had Leberkase and a pulled pork Ciabatta. It was all really good.
There was a great atmosphere and it was clear the place is very popular with locals for their lunch breaks from work.
It has free wifi but it was a bit sketchy on the Terrace.
Average priced beer and very good Aperol Sprtiz.
The inside of the bar is modern and very stylish. Stunning!
Oh! And they do amazing cocktails!
Of course we will be back next time we're in town!

Met the owners of this steakhouse at another restaurant in Gutersloh. Lovely people who encouraged me to visit Mendoza next time I come to Gutersloh. I was Not disappointed the steak was superb. Fresh Spargel with holandaise was fresh and tasty. House wine Malbec reasonable! Thanks Renata and Rudiger for introducing me to your restaurant!

I come to Gutersloh every year to visit family. I rarely look forward to local restaurants, but now I have found Mio. We ate here twice on this visit. Excellent Italian food. I especially recommend the Carpaccio (10€) And the decor is just beautiful. Each time we passed this place it was busy, which I think is a good sign. Prices are competitive to other nice restaurants in town. Five people for lunch, with appetizers was €90. I highly recommend.

We had a really lovely dinner at the bankery. Starting with the antipasti-plate (1 person size shared between the two of us) was plenty of good food. I have been there with a proper Italian and he sad there must be an italian chef in the kitchen to make it taste this good, so well done on that one.
The mains were fab as well (Salad & Burger). The salad dressing (beef salad) is absolutely amazing. The burger (meat) was cooked perfectly and good in taste. The sweet potato wedges were even better than the actual burger :D the sour cream was delicious...The only thing we did not like was the bread of the burger (I think it was toasted) but it was too dry, not typically burger like what we expected.
But thats just one little negative point which might be due to different tastes :)
So good for a lovely dinner with you partner, friends, family and also perfect for business.

I had a lovely dinner during my stay at the hotel, and was shocked at how reasonably priced it was.
I had a beautiful lamb shank with vegetables, which was generously served and tasted divine.
Good choice of wines also, which were all only around the €15 mark.
Service was good and smiley.
Overall excellent restaurant for whether you're staying or just popping in for food.
