Heute war ich, mal wieder, im Gasthaus um die Ecke. In der neuen Karte fand sich alt bekanntes & einiges Neues. Was dann auch gleich ausprobiert wurde. Sehr lecker warâs. Danke an Patricia & ihr Team!Bis bald.

While visiting family in Feldkirch, we were brought to the Hotel Gasthof Lowen for one purpose: bowling.In the basement of the building are a couple of older bowling lanes, which you can rent by the hour. As it's not your typical North American-bowling, the rules were quickly explained to us and we jumped right into our games. It's a great concept, and I'm sure it's very popular with the locals!We were also able to order food by our bowling lane, although it took a bit of back-and-forth as the waitress didn't know an arrangement had been made, and was asking us to leave to head upstairs for food.The menu had several different options of local flavour, and we all immensely enjoyed our meals.It tended to be quite warm in the basement, so dress appropriately!

In Gasthaus Freihof you will find the best Wienerschnitzel from Austria, a huge 10! The schnitzels were 100% fresh, crusty, tender and big enough. The staff is very hospitable and takes the time for a talk. The old traditional Austrian cosiness, we will definitely come back some day!

This restaurant is conveniently located in the Feldkirch city centre, not far from the shopping area and the railway station. The menu offers a good variation of local dishes, there is a large outside seating area (in summer) and the atmosphere is very genuine. Service comes with a large smile, prices are very democratic and are excellent value for money! Highly recommended!

Das Gasthaus hat sich vom Gasthaus mir guten erschwinglichen Gerichten zum Gasthaus mit gehobenen Preisen gemausert.Gleiches Angebot wie früher, nun eben mit gehobener Preisstruktur.Klar Gewerbetreibende müssen Geld verdienen, nur eine Speisekarte, ein Lokal nur nach Gewinn zu optimieren, sollte auch mit dem Kundenpotential , Kundenwünschen vereinbar sein.Gute Speisen, freundliche Bedienung, gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis eben. Das fehlt mittlerweile. Könnte auch mal ein "freundlicher Chef " vorhanden sein, nur patziges Personal reicht allemal nicht.

This restaurant, on the list of recommended mid range eateries from Hotel Bären) is at the southern end of Marktgasse. There are at least a dozen or so restaurant surrounding Marktgasse. The area can be quite pleasant at dinner time. The very helpful young lady at the front desk of our hotel told us that Johanniterhof offers "small dishes", In Austria, this seems to mean that a simpler, non 3-course dinner. As we were to find out the next night some "fine dining" establishment in town takes this pretty seriously.We ordered mixed salad (another one with too much dressing), spaghetti (average) and goulash (average). The service was good. Our waiter was attentive and efficient.We did have a relaxed meal and enjoyed the pleasant evening on the square.

Giant Schitzel with a good portion of crispy fries and a salad make a perfect lunch if you are hungry. Service was efficient and prices are very reasonable. Nice setting in an old castle. Lots of tourists and locals having their lunches so the place gets busy.
