Vanwege de goede recensies maar eens een bezoek gebracht. Ontvangst is hartelijk en de bediening erg vriendelijk.Veel keuze op de kaart vooral qua schnitzels met allerlei bereidingen en sausjes. Heerlijk gegeten, de kleine schnitzel was voor ons nog ruim aan de maat. De rekening was ook erg vriendelijk

I visited it with my colleagues for lunch. I tried the schnitzel with mushrooms. It was tasty and very delicious. However I had ordered the small one dish ...klein size of schnitzel. If you order the normal size (it is huge) you may need take some of it in a home packet. ..also good decor, but the saloon ventilation does let the kitchen odours away. ..So when we left restaurant our clothes were smelling bad due to cooking odours.

Choosing this restaurant as the only option for a lunch there in old town of Kalkar by mid-day, I was more than surprised how enjoyable the stay for a meal it was there.Having been invited by a likeable waitress me and colleague of mine ordered their hamburger. Later I was there with my family and ordered the same one and also my wife did as recommended her. And again, remarkably tasty hamburgers were served to us. Everything of it own made and served in a modern way but with traditional approach to a customer - there was a care of chef felt with every bite. Sometimes sauce extravagantly spread everywhere on a plate together with tiny slices of this and that proving itself being no additional piece to the ultimate puzzle of a delicacy, this meal works other way - everything from own baked dark bun to a sweet sauce on a plate which emphasizes the other pieces of the taste puzzle with its centerfold - juicy meat well grinded and flavored. Looking modern, tasting all-time great.Want a real difference? Desperate to sample a burger which makes sense the way you earn not only an eruption of into each other fitting tastes but also a hunger-killer? Remember eating no less than two softy and withered burgers and still not filling? Forget it and take your chances here, somewhere near to the Netherlands border, where a local chef of the small German bistro will show you the real difference!

Warm classic ambiance and very friendly team provides a wide variety of dishes from classic 'gut bürgerliches' to more daring dishes which are all delivered with swung and are a delight to saviour. In the summer their outside terrace, well shaded with lovely trees, is an excellent place to while the time away with family and friends. It is a good idea to book in advance to make sure you are not disappointed!

Went for dinner in a small party and was impressed by everything. The building, the location, the staff and the food. The beer is brewed in house and was excellent.The portions [new asparagus] were generous and we had a lovely meal. Very friendly welcome from staff in English!

Inselgasthof Nass is a place where meals are served rich in good quality and quantity. Fish, their speciality, accompanied by fresh vegetables, fried potatoes, salads and delicious desserts, wines. Meat is very good as well and often they have game on the menu. The view from most of the tables on the Rhine landscape with all the shipping makes your meal a complete treat. They atmosphere is relaxed, service friendly. could not finish all the good food? They will pack it for you to take home.The place is hard to find without a GPS, maybe it's better to keep it that way.

If you are cycling the Rhine Route (or just passing through) you might do well to avoid this place. After 55 minutes wait, we enquirer if our food was coming and was told "in 10 minutes" - we said we weren't prepared to wait any longer and, miraculously, it would be ready in 1 minute! When it arrived it was very mediocre. As we were keen to be on our way, we asked for the bill - euro 38 - and I gave euro 40 over. To my astonishment the waitress offered no change; when I asked where the change was, it was grudgingly handed over. Avoid!

We have eaten a few times in this place and have been impressed by the consistent high quality of the food and service. First class.Excellent menu with great variety superbly cooked and presented.If you want to experience something special in a characterful ambiance then this is the place to go. Make a reservation if you don't want to be disappointed.

On my recent Germany visit I made a stop in Xanten. We went for breakfast to Xantener Stuben Restaurant. It was first class. There was absolut nothing missing on the buffet. The spread was wonderful and everything tasted fantastic. The price was more then reasonable and it even included champagne. The owner is super nice and makes everybody feel welcome. I wanna go back to Germany just for the food at Xantener Stuben. I will definitely be back and will make reservations the next time I go with the family. I can't wait. Thank you Xantener Stuben for making this Germany trip a culinary highlight.
