Had dinner with my wife and her parents. Everyone enjoyed the meal. I had sander fish with potatoes others had spinach knoedel with muchroom sauce and weiner-shintzel with fries. My wife is from Germany. Salad bar was good as well.

We came in this Gasthof by chance, and it was a very sunny day. Our kids don't like to be on a a terrace and they insisted on us eating inside. BEST DECISION EVER. The interior of the inn has a wonderful an authentic atmosphere (please keep it so !) ... you would imagine Kaiserin Sissi coming here incognito ... Wooden furniture, antique glass windows... I have loved every inch of it (including the very 70's toilets)The food was excellent, and decently priced. The Schnitzels were juicy, the fries crispy and the jaeger schnitzel tasty...don't change anything !

A great place to have a breakfast or lunch snack, Sitting on the sidewalk terrace watching the world go by or indoors - both comfortable. Quality of the baked goods and food good. Great value for money.

Nice german restaurant in the countryside with open terrace. People were were friendly even if we didn't speak german at all. Typical german food of these places, no wide choice, excellent beer, very good value for price.

It was raining, we'd been out all day, so we gave up and ate at the hotel restaurant. It was the best decision of the day. This place is located in Hotel Hohe Linde on the outskirts of Izny. We needed a reservation (a Friday night in early September), so people around here know it's good. Local mushrooms. Homemade ravioli and sorbet. The kind of salad you need on the road. And everyone was more than friendly. We loved it.....

We had dinner on three occasions at the Restaurant of the Terrassenhotel. The new chef Richard Huth prepares great dishes with local ingredients. Everything was very tasty, original, very nicely presented and in some ways surprising as well. The menu list is quite small though and could be a little longer. The wine list holds a good selection of German and international wines. Service is very good, efficient and friendly. Prices are in the mid range. Typical Bavarian cuisine served in the restaurant attached to a brewery. The food was really very nice and the staff was great. Needless to say, they have a nice selection of their own beers. If you are driving from Munich to Bregenz, this makes for a great lunch stop, only about 5 minutes off the main highway

We came here to eat after visiting a location for my sister's upcoming wedding. The restaurant is located in a small Bavarian town with excellent views of the Alps. The restaurant itself is not very large, but does offer places for families to eat. We sat in the old stable where another celebration was taking place. This made sitting at the table rather uncomfortable.The special was unfortunately sold out, so we could only order from the other items. Our girls had the pancakes with cinnamon sugar and I have to say that the medium was rather large and the large was too much for our elder daughter to finish off. This can also be said about the other meals. So unless you've got a very hearty appetite and have enough room for large, German farmer portions, do not expect to eat all given to you.All-in-all, the food was good, service both kind and speedy and company even better!

Service is the most important element in a hotel. Of course everything else counts: space, cleanliness, rooms quality, etc. But the service is the most essential. And service means the people: if they are (trained to be) competent, if they are (trained to be) polite and helpful. Every detail in the communication counts.I stayed with my family for a weekend. This was originally planned for January, but I had to cancel it. The people didnt at all make it an issue - though they may have well been able to use a late cancellation policy. I wouldnt have disagreed with. It is only that by ***not*** asking for this, one wins a returning customer.I am sure that the idea of the customer loyalty seems in times of Internet bookings and the hot-air-and-spare-customer-ribs like a very old fashioned idea.On the other hand, those that dare to invest on good will from their side, are the winners - the rest will see their business shrinking, their margins evaporating and their future look unpleasantly dark.So congratulations to all people of the Bären Hotel in Isny! Look forward to my next stay there!
