Have been here several times for coffee and cake (delicious traditional German cakes, blackforest, beesting etc.). There is also the possibility of staying overnight (pension). The interior is a little old fashioned but clean and still has a nice atmosphere. The location is just lovely, full glass windows from ceiling to floor give view to a large green field where they keep around 30 beautiful deer along with some geese. You are able to hand feed the deer nuts through the fence and they are just the sweetest creatures. The staff are friendly, prices good and I am looking forward to going here for lunch or dinner soon.

Kaiser Wetter für das Brautpaar und die Gäste, was soll da noch schiefgehen? Sehr schöne Tisch Aufteilung innen, super Ambiente (auch drauÃen) mit genügend Platz für alle. Super Kuchen Auswahl (beigestellt) mit Hochzeitstorte als Buffet aufgebaut. Nach Bräutigam Ansprache wurde das Buffet eröffnet. Tisch für Tisch aufgerufen, Fleisch, Fisch und Garnelen frisch zubereitet und jeder konnte diverse Beilagen dazu wählen. Wirklich lecker! Die Getränke (Wein auf dem Tisch) wurden zügig gebracht und die Stimmung wurde immer besser. Wirklich ein sehr schöner Abend, zu dem das Team Lohre einen groÃen Beitrag geleistet hat. Ich/wir können nur uneingeschränkt einen Besuch des Gasthofs empfehlen.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area. The place has a charming atmosphere and they serve really tasty pies. Also, twice a year they have a mediaeval fair which is quite nice!

The restaurant is well located near the center on a quiet pedestrian alley. The menu is quite large and everything on int proved to be available. The food is well prepared and presented; servings are copious. An overall pleasant experience in a peaceful location.

Das Restaurant schreibt sich "leidenschaftliche Genusskultur für alle Sinne" mit frischen, regionalen Produkten auf die Flagge - und das in meinen Augen zu Recht! Aber von Anfang an:Die gastronomische Auswahl am Flughafen Paderborn ist eher überschaubar. Was also tun, um dem Appetit auf etwas "vernünftiges" jenseits von SüÃigkeiten, belegten Brötchen etc. zu stillen? Die Antwort ist das Silbergras! Der Aufsteller im Flughafen mit Hinweis auf das Hotel (und ganz klein unten das Restaurant) erweckt den Eindruck nach sterilem Flughafenhotel mit Imbiss. Macht wenig Lust auf einen Versuch. Aber der kurze Weg lohnt sich!Ich wurde überrascht von stilvollem, schlichten und doch gemütlichen Ambiente, ausgesprochen netten Mitarbeitern und einer angenehm überschaubaren Karte mit regionalen Speisen mit Pfiff. Der Gruà aus der Küche lässt hoffen: Polentaschnitte mit Tomate (also Tomatengeschmack an der Polentaschnitte)-> sehr gut.Bestellt habe ich mir gebackenen Couscous auf Ratatouille mit Pesto, Mangochutney und Wildkräutersalat. Die gebackenen Couscousbällchen waren auÃen schön knusprig und innen saftig, das Gemüse mit schön viel BiÃ, Pesto und Mangochutney dazu passte auch toll. Und der Salat war mit einem sehr feinen Dressing angemacht.Das ganze für faire 10,50⬠(nicht vergessen: Wir sind hier nicht in einem Schnellimbiss...).Schade, dass die Zeit nicht für mehr gereicht hat. Ich bin sehr zufrieden gegangen und komme sicher beim nächsten Mal (dann hoffentlich mit mehr Zeit) wieder!Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team und weiterhin viel Erfolg!

At the first time I went there was very excellent. The food is very very giving me such a lovely first impression (I ordered 200g Rib-eye argentinische steak). I speak English, the waiter don't talk to much but ask me a lot of questions like about the sauce, side dish and the maturity level. I was really in love and I take my friend there the next chance but I was disappointed. the waiter was ignorant, he wasn't ask for the maturity lever so the steak was really hard the taste isn't as good as the previous although I ordered the same (I ordered for 400g for this).so, It was okay for me but I don't think i'll back again.

Wow! This restaurant is typical German and the quality is outstanding. We went without booking one night and understandably it was full! Lesson learnt... we booked and got in. Great menu, huge portions, great service and price!Was nice to see the chef greeting customers too at the end of service! Bravo

The Gasthof Kemper is an absolute gem. A typical German bar that is superbly decorated and which provides a warm welcome from a family run business. This place clearly thrives on the excellent hospitality that it provides to all its locals and to newcomers alike. Being English, my family were made to feel very welcome despite my best efforts to speak in German, not only from the staff but also from the locals too. Not only does this place serve a variety of great beers and spirits but it also has a really tasty menu which is worth sampling. The restaurant is a credit to the Gasthof as the food served is of the highest quality. My family were impressed with the standard and quality of the food, so much so that all our plates were empty afterwards and we returned on two other occasions during our holiday for dinner. I have been to many German bars and restaurants over the years and this is now on the top of my list. I thoroughly recommend this place to everyone. I took my family for a lovely evening with a gorgeous meal in a beautiful garden with fishpond. The service was perfect and the food to die for. What else could you ask for. A lot of people appreciate this family owned restaurant ... so you better book in advance! And enjoy:-))

I stayed here with colleagues for one night whilst on business.First of all the exterior is very impressive and check - in was quick and easy.My room was on the ground floor and had a nice view of the fields behind the property. The room itself was fairly basic with simple furniture (typical of a lot of German mid range hotels) however was more than adequate.We ate at the restaurant which was excellent with extremely high quality German dishes on offer.I had a decent nights sleep and the room was quiet at night.Breakfast was the typical continental selection, cold meats, yoghurt, bread, cheese etc. It was ok.Overall for the price I cannot complain at this hotel. I would definitely stay again if in the area.
