Das Hotel-Restaurant DIMITRA ist ein familiär geführtes Unternehmen, was sich in der Liebe zum Detail und auch den Speisen zeigt. Sehr gute griechische-deutsche Küche und auch auf Sonderwünsche wird gerne eingegangen. Es hat im Sommer noch einen ruhigen, mediterran angelegten Biergarten mit ausreichend Plätzen. Ebenfalls gibt es Zimmer zum Ãbernachten, die alle mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und sehr sauber sind. Direkte Anbindung zur Autobahn ist auch in 2km Entfernung gegeben, ebenso wie viele Ausflugsziele. Alles in Allem wirklich sehr zu empfehlen, da hier noch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

The restaurant was perfect the service was incredible and the food I can't explain how good it was. The Lammfillet with a Krauterkrust ist incredible. If you have the time and stop by this restaurant do it. All the food was incredible and the town is very nice to.

I had a very good dinner with a large group of people including some entertainment parts that were organized by the restaurant staff. The food is traditional old-german food with beer or water. The restaurant is next to the medieval castle from where you have a nice view into the Rhine-valley.

I'm surprised there hadn't been a review on this little gem before. The restaurant is right by the Gernsheimer Ferry crossing the river Rhine. Sitting outside you can watch it coming and going as well as other boat traffic on the river.Food is local German cuisine. Good, tasty, decent portions. I was born in the area and taste is very much authentic. We sat in the beer garden outside on a summer day watching the sun going down. The place seem to attract a fair number of people, so was busy, but not crowded. It was a Monday. I had a nicely cooked Fährmann Schnitzel while my friend enjoyed a rump steak. It was rumpsteak monday. The menu has special items that change by the day. We also shared a portion of the local Handkäs. All nicely done and filling. The website says they have live music occasionally, not when we were there. I'd be very happy to go back there.

Am 11.1 auf der Homepage des Restaurants einen Tisch für den 13.1 zum Mittag Reserviert.Am 13.1. vor dem Restaurant gestanden.Heute geschlossen wegen einer Veranstaltung. Sie haben es nicht einmal geschafft an uns eine Nachricht zu senden.Da wir in der Vergangenheit schon mehrfach dort gut gegessen haben waren wir sehr enttäuscht und werden dieses Lokal nicht mehr besuchen und auch nicht mehr empfehlen.

I had only one dinner in this place but I liked it very much. The place is quite and clean. Personnel is really polite. Not a big place but it is also enough space to have group meetings. If you are staying in Absolute Hotel or you are around here you can definitely choose this place.

Wer kulinarische Höchstleistungen, ein schickes Ambiente und sonstigen âchichiâ sucht, geht hier besser nicht hin. Der Inhaber Marcel Heim ist seit viel Jahren blind. Er kocht, bedient und erzählt aus seinem Alltag. Dies wird dem Gast dadurch näher gebracht, alsdass man in absoluter Dunkelheit an seinen Tisch geführt wird und dort isst und trinkt. Eine Herausforderung an die restlichen Sinne!Die Speisen, man kann bei der Reservierung bestimmen, ob man ein 3- oder 5-Gänge-Menü möchte und welche Zutaten absolut nicht vertragen werden, sind gut gekocht und die Portionen angemessen. Im Restaurant sitzt man zu viert. Leider hatte bei unserem Besuch eine Gruppe wohl gedacht, auf einer Comedyshow zu sein, geschmacklose Witze braucht hier keinerEinen Abstrich muss am Ambiente gemacht werden. Das Gebäude ist ein industrieller Bau, der Empfang erfolgt in einer ehemaligen Diskothek, alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen, auch die sauberen Toiletten.

Having had a great lunch we decided to take desert here, and watch the boats on the Rhein. The seating outside was plentiful and the wait staff were super friendly. The desert card was generous although a few classics for ice cream combinations were missing. We stayed for a while and enjoyed a super selection of our own ice cream combinations and enjoy a good coffee. A nice place to drop by.

The family run Schiff provides good local food and friendly service. At its best the food in excellent, portions are generous and good use if made of seasonal produce. There are several elegant dining rooms and an attractive small beer garden. It can get busy and reservations are recommended. The Schiff always delivers!
