We had lunch @Xavers Ranch. The food was excellent as allways. Good return on investment. The meals for the children are very modest ( â¬7,-), and with home-made chicken-nuggets! When we are 'im Sauerland' we mostly visit this restaurant. The children played in the playground outside (allthough they could fix the fence...). Our daughter had a good time with the dog, outside.Inside the decoration is old-fashion and 'anspruchlos'. We sat in the old kneipe-sittingroom. If they would perk it up a bit (especially the 70' wintergarten) the experience would be almost perfect ;-)

Der Gasthof Pieper befindet sich mitten in dem Ort Dorlar, im Schmallenberger Sauerland, zwischen Bad Fredeburg und Bremke. Es ist einer dieser typischen Landgasthoefe mit Kegelbahn und Theke, wie es sieim Sauerland viele gibt. Die Theke beherrscht den Gastraum, darum gliedern sich rustikale Tischgruppen in Nischen, so dass man ungestört das Essen geniessen kann. Hier gibt es sehr gute bodenständige Köstlichkeiten zum frisch gezapften Bier. Uns hat das Ambiente, das Essen und die nette Bedienung, also rundum alles gut gefallen.

In Sichtweite der Veltins Brauerei befindet sich das Gasthaus mit seiner schönen Terrasse. Wir stoppten dort auf einer Motorradtour und wurden bestens mit Getränken und wohlschmeckenden lokalen Snacks versorgt. Sehr nett und familiär dort. Gerne wieder.

We stopped for lunch on a sunny day in June and found a nice comfortable table on the cosy terrace under a big chestnut tree. The menu offered an extensive choice of dishes and set menu's, starting around ⬠8 and up to some ⬠25. As weight consious seniors, we were. pleasantly surprised to see that virtually all main dishes could also be ordered as small portions.So, we settled for the latter and after a delicious asparagous soup, my wife had a terrific deer goulash and my main dish was roast beef with onions and mushrooms. The onions were slightly burned, but the meat was excellent. Even though we had small portions, there remained no room for dessert. Service was fast and friendly.One small point though, Since the terrace is right next to a fairly busy street with through traffic, installing some glass screens to reduce the street noise would make it even more enjoyable.

Ot is a bakery with a sort of dining aerea en suite ( this dining aerea is reachable with a short stair)We had a perfect lunch. Reibekuche with salmon. Very very good! Others at our table had something sweet, chosen in the bakery and they both liked it as well.Price-quality of the food is very good.

I was in Eslohe on business and booked into the Woiler Hof a family run guest house. The Hotel is in a charming period building. Large clean rooms with modern bathrooms, lovely staff and a huge breakfast which could double as lunch. It was also really inexpensive. The surrounding area is very pretty and I will book the Woiler Hof again on my next visit to the area.

Weâve been staying at Landgasthof Seemer for 9 nights and had a blast. Owners Alexandra and Julia are absolute fabulous hosts. Their attention to details, service and the friendliness is hard to beat. Our room in this century-old traditional family owned and operated hotel was impeccable. Freshly renovated with all modern amenities and a sparkling clean bathroom.The restaurant as well as the traditional style pub (Wirtschaft) are simply beautiful. Chef Alexandra only uses seasonal fresh locally sourced produce and our meals were fantastic. All complimented by a very friendly knowledgeable service. Julia and Alexandra surely know what they are doing. Their warm welcome made us feel like family rather than guests. A highly recommended institution not to be missed in the picturesque small town of Wenholthausen! Dear Lothar,Thank you for your great review. We were very pleased that you were our guest.
