The food is excellent, service very good. They have a fantastic beer garden with playground for kids and an adventure mini golf attached. It's a fantastic place in summer for big parties with kids. The food changes seasonnally such as goose in November, asaparagus in May. Their salads a great and so are the good German dishes.

Nach einer Wanderung sind wir in diesen überraschend guten Gasthof eingekehrt. Schon die BegrüÃung durch einen Servicemitarbeiter war sehr herzlich. Das Bergische Landbier war köstlich u nach über 12km FuÃweg sehr erfrischend. Der danach servierte Rotwein zum Essen war ebenso gut- wir probierten beide von der Karte- jedoch verbesserungsbedürftig. Da gibt es Luft nach oben. Die Speisen ehrlich einfach aber gut. Wir kommen wieder u haben nur den Wunsch die Weinauswahl ein wenig anzupassen.

The cafe is based in a lovely old converted school. It has a huge outdoor seating area (closed in winter) with spectacular views. The speciality cakes served here are 'Windbeutel'- huge choux pastry buns with a choice of toppings (like enormous profiteroles). The decor is very 1970's, as is the decor in many German cafes and hotels etc! The cakes were absolutely gorgeous, and the coffee was lovely too. What let this place down on our visit, was the painfully slow service. We were left to wait ages to be served and after we asked to pay. The waitresses, whilst pleasant enough, seemed to have no concept of having an overview of their customers needs. They seemed to be only able to attend to one task (very slowly) at a time. We visited in winter and the cafe was busy, but not full. I can imagine in the height of summer, with the outdoor seating area open, that this place would be absolutely packed. I hope they have more staff in summer, and that they move a but quicker! Top tip...coffee and cake time in Germany is at 3 pm, so visit an hour earlier if you want a good chance of a seat with a panoramic view.

After 2.5 hours walk in the beautiful countryside around Bröleck, Ruppichteroth, we went for lunch in Bauernschänke on Easter Monday. It was absolutely packed and we were asked whether we had booked a table which we had not. They accommodated us anyway and were very kind. We got very good, down to Earth food. The salad was excellent and I cannot understand why you would complain about it (see review further down). Some of us had a Schnitzel which was huge and good with fried potatoes and one of us had a Fladenbrot. Latter is very big, even the small one and should only be eaten if you are really hungry. We enjoyed the stay very much. Bauernschänke is not the place for a posh evening out but a good place for decent food after a long walk with muddy boots on your feet. They also have outside seating. Inside is very quaint but certainly not everybody's taste - far from contemporary. Yes, this is the right place for active, hungry, walking people, bikers, and cyclists.

The restaurant is situated in a little old town called Stadt Blankenberg - this is already an attraction by itself. Sitting on the terrace of the hotel restaurant is an excursion into the German history! We had our lunch at the terrace and were more than satisfied - particularly after choosing the Lunch Menu. It was really great value consisting of soup, a main course with tender meat and a delicious dessert. But also a-la-carte was very good and is recommendable. The only disadvantage is the difficulty to get there - but using a GPS will avoid our mistake!

The restaurant is located in an old watermill, next to a little stream with a wonderfull beergarden. The indoor restaurant is very romantic. In summer you can order food fresh from the grill. The allday menues are very tasty.

We were taken here by friends who wanted to share a fine meal with us. We had a variety of items and everyone was happy with theirs. Save room for the homemade ice cream at the end of the meal. It is worth it.

I love this place!We stopped in this small town enroute to Frankfurt to grab something to eat. We were walking into another restaurant but the smell coming out of La Vida Loca was just too enticing.The food was simple and tasty with everything home made. The owner could not have been more welcoming especially when we don't know how to speak German. His English was very good and he was so accommodating and was letting us taste some things off his menu.My husband and I would definitely be coming here again when we visit Germany next!

Hallo ,Wollte berichten von der Lokalität En d' Hött . Es ist eine Urige kleine Kneipe mit ca. 40 plätzen drinnen und auch mehreren draussen.Draussen ist neu angelegt worden.Der vorderer Bereich am Eingang ist wie früher ein schöner Thekenbereich mit Spirituosen der Spitzenklasse was einem das Herz höher schlagen lässt. Der hinterereBereich ist etwas für ruhige Gelegenheit mit guter alter Musik.Zum Essen kann man sagen eine sehr gute Karte nicht zuviel aber ausreichend Auswahl hin bis zum Vegiburger. Claudi und Ihr Mann sind hervorragend Gastgeber und sehr auf das Wohlergehen der Gäste bedacht.Was man auch nicht vergessen darf ist eine sehr gute Auswahl der verschiedensten Schottischen Whiskys wo man auch gerne nach Absprache ein Tasting machen kann. Also geht mal hin und lasst euch Ãberraschen und Verwöhnen.

Ich weià gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Neben den Basics wie den leckeren Würstchen, Schnitzel und Pommes mit der groÃen Auswahl an Saucen, gibt es täglich ein frisches Mittagessen in einer Top-Qualität. Mittwochs sogar ein Veganer Gericht, scheint mega nachgefragt zu sein. Samstag ist Burger-Day und es gibt eine separate Karte und ich kann es einfach nur empfehlen. Selten so leckere Burger gehabt.... Top-Tipp in 53783 Eitorf
