I'm surprised at the amount of negative reviews of this place, as the few times I stopped I had a pretty good experience. A word of warning that Sunday was very busy, but the weekdays weren't bad at all. Overall the food and service were both good, food wasn't too salty (which I find to be a common problem) and desserts were just about the perfect sweetness (I prefer my sweets to be mildly sweet, not too sweet). All of the staff were very friendly and I think everyone spoke english rather well. You will have to be proactive and flag down your server at times, but thats just how things are sometimes. Additionally, its par for the course in Germany, but it is a dog friendly restaurant, indoor and outdoor seating, and located right on a hiking trail. I'd probably give it a 3.5-3.75 star rating if I could.Visited during Sunday Lunch time, Monday dinner/drinks, and Tuesday late lunch.

Einfaches, kleines Gasthaus, helle Holzstühle und Tische.DrauÃen gibt es leider nur zwei winzige Tische, wo man was trinken kann aber nichts essen. Stehen direkt an der StraÃe aufm Bürgersteig (kein Platz mehr) und die Treppe zum Innenbereich hoch ist für die Bedienung zu gefährlich.Typische, deftige, Pfälzer Gasthaus-Auswahl: Schnitzel, Rumpsteak, Saumagen, Salat, Maultaschen, Sauerbraten,...Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Keine Wartezeiten.Essen OK aber nicht auÃergewöhnlich:Beilagensalat Standard - Karotten, Kraut, Rettich angemacht und Blattsalat mit etwas Dressing überträufel.Rumpsteak(fleisch) war zart und gut, die Bratkartoffeln hausgemacht.Das Jägerschnitzel sah für mich selbstgemacht aus. Darüber waren zwei Champignons und ein Löffel Fertig-Bratensauce gekippt. Tiefkühlpommes.

A no-nonsense restaurant with a cosy atmosphere in a place where you would not expect it: the Dahn sportpark.Some locals suggested to have diner there when we asked for their recommendations for a restaurant they would like to go to theirselves.Have been eating there several times and were never disappointed: good food in portions big enough to satisfy the sportsmen we are.A good choice of local (Pfalz) wines too,The interior is cosy with a lot of wood and the personell is friendly.Highly recommended for those who appreciate good food but do not like a 'star restaurant' ambiance.Did I mention the reasonable pricing?

Bien que rien ne laisse penser qu'un végétarien ou un végan puisse bien manger ici, c'est avec surprise que j'ai découvert une petite carte pour les véganes. Plat bien préparé, service rapide, salle bien agencée avec nappes en tissu, on se sent un peu choyé... Le personnel est courtois et à l'écoute, un bon petit restaurant. Das Restaurant liegt am südöstlichen Rand der Stadt Dahn im Kurpark. Genügend kostenfreie Parkplätze sind in direkter Nähe vorhanden. Die Gaststätte verfügt über ca. 80 Innen- und ca. 100 groÃteils schattige AuÃenplätze. Die Speisekarte umfasst rund 45 kleine und groÃe Gerichte sowie etwa 25 Pizzen. Preislich liegt man im Normalbereich; die Getränkepreise dagegen erschienen uns sogar sehr günstig (0,25l Wein 3,50). Wir bestellten von der Angebotstafel zwei verschiedene Sorten Seelachs für 11,80⬠bzw. 12,80â¬, jeweils mit Beilagensalat. Die Gerichte kamen schnell und stellten sowohl von der Qualität als auch von der Quantität her zufrieden. Insgesamt zahlten wir incl. Getränke rund 32,--â¬. Bedient wurden wir zuvorkommend und freundlich. Kreditkartenzahlung wird akzeptiert. Etwas verwirrend war das Angebot im Schaukasten vor dem Treppenaufgang. Dort war von griechischen Spezialitäten die Rede. Diese gibt es aber nur an 2 Tagen in der Woche - donnerstags und freitags. Wir waren jedenfalls mit unserem Besuch zufrieden.

Ohne Worte....die beste Blutwurst und Leberwurst ever....ebenso die Leberknödel...Man fühlt sich wohl, sehr netter Service. Der Digestif als Bonus war gut gemeint, aber mit Fruchtsaft massentauglich gesüÃter Marillenbrand ist echt übel.Wir kommen wieder, gaaaaanz toll, auch die Weinkarte. Die Preise sind extrem günstig, zumindest wenn man aus Wiesbaden kommt

After checking out the Dahn castles, we went to Wasgauperle on TripAdvisor's recommendation. It was a good family restaurant (with a changing table--always appreciated!). There was a variety of local German food and wine from the region. There was an English Menu and the service was fine, though meals took a long time (over an hour from ordering--fairly standard in Germany). Meals ranged from 12 EUR to 24 EUR, with higher priced meals including dessert. It seemed all meals include a trip to the well-stocked salad bar.The special "Kurbis Cappuccino" (Pumpkin cream soup served in a glass) was the highlight for me. Several tables were reserved but we were able to be seated.

While this scenic restaurant can be busy with tour groups (check outside for large coaches), the seating in the courtyard is relaxing and nice. The young girl waiting on us was very pleasant, competent and lovely. She suggested to bring the sauce of our dish in a sauciere âon-the-sideâ, in case we didnât like it she would bring something else. Very nice. But, Boy, we liked the cheese/cream sauce! Notable is the fact that rotisserie chicken is only available on Wednesdays, not on the weekend. A reason to return! Overnight accommodation in historic Deutsche Bahn railroad cars is available nearby. Moderately priced, reservations are accepted.
