As a regular visitor to Bregenz I tried this new restaurant with my friends. At first, we had high expectations with the nice interior but it went downhill from there. The waiter had limited knowledge of the menu, the portions are very small and highly priced compared to other restaurants in Bregenz. We ordered a bottle of wine and the wine was put in a wine cooler near to our table but the waiter didnât get the wine to top up our glasses. After finishing our meal, we were not offered a desert menu, coffee or the bill. We struggled to get the attention of the staff despite them not being particularly busy.

The Römerhof is located in the old part of Arbon town and the restaurant is simply but nicely decorated with clean, white rooms. The menu offers a selection of dishes including food reflecting the chefâs Mauritius heritage. All of the dishes were exquisitely presented; it was almost a shame to eat them. The food was also of very good quality.The reason I didnât award five stars is that the prices are quite high and somehow all of us felt that despite the quality of the food, it was too much to spend for a dinner. This is not to fault the service nor the cook â both were very friendly â but the total dining experience fell somewhat short of our expectations, considering the prices.Dear GuestThank you for your feedback about your recent visit at our restaurant.
