Having just spent over 6,000 HKD, and furthermore knowing a thing or two about food, I would like to honestly report about this Hong Kong "institution". Frankly, don't bother. We ordered the full degustation menu, and most dishes were either ranging from distasteful to meh, with a couple of tasty dishes only. The cheese dish was appalling - was surprised to have Stilton amongst the choice, rather than Roquefort, but as an Englishman, I am happy to report was certainly not the best Stilton we produce. I guess a lot of people come because of what they expect from some mystique from the restaurant. The environment is pleasant enough, though rather suitable to a 70+ age group. I must say though that the wine pairing was rather good..perhaps not a good enough reason to return. I would also say that the live Filipino band were very accommodating and decent. Very good brunch, the Banana Nutella French crepe was super yummy and Iâll definitely go back there to have it again soon I also loved the scallops and mushrooms galette. Nice environment, not too cold as some restaurants in HK, I recommend it :)

I have always wanted to try this Restaurant and now finally made it for my birthday celebration. From start to finish this was an outstanding experience, our server Maggie and Restaurant Manager Ben did an amazing job and so did everyone else, it was also nice to chat to the chef himself. The food is truly different, nothing we had before, incredibly interesting and very very tasty. We were looking for an Italian restaurant just by Lan Kwai Fong and as we saw the great reviews it got on TripAdvisor we tried to find a table without having reservation. And what a find!! My husband and I ate at Cafe Gray Deluxe on many occasions during our stay in Hong Kong. Our two dinners, breakfasts, and lunch were absolutely delicious. The Caesar salad with shrimp was so good, I had it twice! Only wish I could could find one as tasty here at home. The restaurant is beautiful in both daylight and in the evening. Loved sitting at the windows overlooking the water. Staying at the Upper House our rate also included breakfast. Great restaurant whether you're staying in the hotel or not!We are delighted that you were able to visit Cafe Gray Deluxe throughout the various meal periods of the day and enjoyed each one!Its the crustacean mayo that makes our Caesar so delicious and we are thrilled you were able to tuck into on two separate occasions.We wish you safe travels home and hope to welcome you back to the "House" soon,With kind regards,yvonne

We came to celebrate my son 20-th b-day. Reservation process was very good : exchanged emails with person in charge. When we came for dinner - we observed very good service , nice Champaign , very tasty bread and butter, average starters/appetizers, great crab cake covered with caviar (on the house as our steak was a bit late) and very disappointing main dish: we shared with my son porterhouse for two that I simply couldnât eat, my wife had to return her main meat dish as well. To be honest - staff tried to do anything they can: gave us to go cheese cake for free, excluded water charges, but evening was ruined unfortunately . My advice : if you go there - do not take meat dish. Our dinner for 3 cost more than $250 per person, including 2 bottles of Champaign, which pretty expensive by itself , but with failing main dish - it was a disaster Dear Je7375, Thank you very much for visiting Mandarin Grill and for taking the time to share your feedback. This place is fantastic. We visited here for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was perfect! Wine selection and course menu were great and the service was excellent. We got the extra dessert written "Happy wedding Anniversary" in Korean (we are Korean) from the chef and it was so nice! I highly recommend you to visit this fancy and kind restaurant if you travel in HK!!

A most amazing evening with a bunch of 12 friends for a celebration. The food is amazing. We loved everything!! The burratta e Parma, the baked cheese( to die for), the pizza,s, the pasta ( cooked to perfection) and the tagliata al funghi tartufati ( beef with truffles) was all delicious.
