Here you can enjoy fresh produce as in pastry, sweets, lovely bread and other home made food. The place looks a bit quirky but has a homely feel. It's worth a visit to have a bite or a coffee/tea and sweets.

This restaurant is north of Odoorn in the State Forest of Exloo very close to a lookout tower. It offers a limited menu of simple dishes for lunch and dinner. But what they serve is good quality and well presented. I ordered an omelette (with ham and mushrooms) that was delicious. Service is efficient and friendly.The location is ideal for a rest and refreshments after one of the walks of various length in the State Forest that start there.During the holiday season there is entertainment on the meadow in front of the restaurant where they built a sort of open air theatre,

This restaurant is located in a quite remote area in a small village, Valthe. It is an old farm converted to a restaurant. The ambience is accordingly, but in a stylish way. The tables are centred around a big fireplace, where guests are welcomed with an aperitif. In the surrounding area, it is the only restaurant on a more culinary level, being listed in the Michelin guideThe restaurant works without a written menu. Instead, you only decide how many courses (3-8), what you like and dislike and a menu is created for you. We went for 6 courses and informed the kitchen we wanted to drink a glass of white and a bottle of red wine and the menu was adjusted accordingly. We had 2 fish courses (one with shell fish), 2 meat courses including the main, cheese and a desert. The wine list is quite extensive, with wines from may countries.

Op doorreis hier gestopt en we waren verrast door de kwaliteit van de maaltijd.We hadden de Drentse biefstuk en die was heerlijk. Ook de mosterdsoep was erg lekker .De bediening is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.Een aanrader!

The Fletcher Hotel/Restaurant in Exloo is a large scale country hotel with indoor and outdoor swimming pools. They are also the base location for the popular Eko-Tours using electric terrain vehicles. We enjoyed a decent sandwiches lunch for Euro 8,50 per person before starting our Eko-Tour. The restaurant is a bit faded glory and mixed styles, but everything still very pleasant and functional. Ample free parking is available on the spacious grounds of the hotel. It is well located relative to both the village of Exloo and the UNESCO GeoPark De Hondsrug.

I came in for hot chocolate and apple pie. Absolutely delicious. Lovely ambiance. The waitress was very alert to making sure we had a place to sit, menus, etc.

Maybe there are not so many choices of typical restaurants that can provive variety of foods including asian (Indonesian food), Dutch local food and international cuisine around Exloo-The Netherland. This is one of the restaurant which is also part of De Hotel Meulenhoek in Exloo, The Netherland which provides those cuisines. I recommend some of my friends who really like enjoying Indonesian food such as Rendang, Sate, or Soto ayam, so when they stop by to Exloo, they can also spend sometime at De Meulenhoek Hotel and Restaurant, after that enjoying the nature around Exloo with bikes or walking. About the restaurant, well....fancy atmosphere, relaxing situation and child friendly situation, what the important thing is the friendly of the staffs. We can have a feeling as dining at our own home. Some popular dessert also available like "dame blanche" with exactly pure chocolade sauce. Try and you will comeback.

Had the pleasure of attending a reception/cocktail party at Bussemakerâs. They could easily handle a group of 100+ participants in their bigger meeting room with bar. Also enough private and streetside parking to accomodate the associated traffic. Coffee cakes drinks and snacks all good.

I stayed with my sister and we decided to try this relatively new restaurant in Emmen. The ambiance is very nice with very attentive staff. The food was absolutely fabulous. My sister had âHete Roofkipâ a Thai chicken recipe and myself tried the âRendangâ a Malaysian beef stew. Both mains were perfect, we would recommend to add rice instead of chips/potatoes. The accompanying salad was perfect too. Highly recommend Thank you!
