I've been to this restaurant several times for lunch. The lunch menu is simple, but the food is very well prepared. Last time I had an omelette and my wife had a salad. Their home made burgers are also good. Service is efficient and friendly. I particularly recommend this when the weather is good and our can sit outside on one of the two terraces. Prices are very reasonable: lunch for two (including 2 mineral waters and 2 coffees each) was 34 Euro.

The restaurant had some nice items on the menu, a three course meal offer for 25 euro and some special evening (unlimited chicken and spareribs, etc.). The portions were a bit on the small side, but big enough to not be very hungry at the end. The desert were a little bit boring with the majority on Deserts being icecream.

I came in for hot chocolate and apple pie. Absolutely delicious. Lovely ambiance. The waitress was very alert to making sure we had a place to sit, menus, etc.

This Valentine's Day 2015, marks our 3rd visit at this restaurant. We love dining here that we even come extra here to Exloo sometime 4 years ago (on our first visit) just to dine at this wonderful restaurant. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food superb and just the right portion. For us, it's always a good reason to come back to Exloo and have a wonderful dining experience.

Maybe there are not so many choices of typical restaurants that can provive variety of foods including asian (Indonesian food), Dutch local food and international cuisine around Exloo-The Netherland. This is one of the restaurant which is also part of De Hotel Meulenhoek in Exloo, The Netherland which provides those cuisines. I recommend some of my friends who really like enjoying Indonesian food such as Rendang, Sate, or Soto ayam, so when they stop by to Exloo, they can also spend sometime at De Meulenhoek Hotel and Restaurant, after that enjoying the nature around Exloo with bikes or walking.
About the restaurant, well....fancy atmosphere, relaxing situation and child friendly situation, what the important thing is the friendly of the staffs. We can have a feeling as dining at our own home. Some popular dessert also available like "dame blanche" with exactly pure chocolade sauce.
Try and you will comeback.

Drenthe is mooi, Drenthe is natuur, Drenthe is nu ook nog lekker! De Drentse Biefstuk van Arnoud en zijn team is buitengewoon mals.....wat een toppertje! Loetje is leuk maar Boshof oaldewets lekker!!

A very inviting place, Terrace, the inside of this old farmhouse can have lots and lots of guests. Noting wrong with the pancakes or the friendlyness of the service, but the place needs some logistical advice on how to run too small a small kitchen when you have so many guests. The administrative procedure of handling the orders is cumbersome and leads to much loss of time.

This restaurant is north of Odoorn in the State Forest of Exloo very close to a lookout tower. It offers a limited menu of simple dishes for lunch and dinner. But what they serve is good quality and well presented. I ordered an omelette (with ham and mushrooms) that was delicious. Service is efficient and friendly.
The location is ideal for a rest and refreshments after one of the walks of various length in the State Forest that start there.
During the holiday season there is entertainment on the meadow in front of the restaurant where they built a sort of open air theatre,
