... im Biergarten. Liegt direkt an der Bahnlinie, wie der Name vermuten lässt. Stört aber kaum. Die Bedienung geschah prompt und freundlich.Das Essen, heute einmal vegetarisch, war schon etwas spezieller in der Zubereitung, aber es hat uns gut geschmeckt. Preislich nicht gerade am unteren Ende, aber alles machte einen frischen Eindruck. Wird vermutlich nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein.

The kids clocked this place a couple of days ago and this was our first chance to come. Nice stylish, artisan-type vibe with the big black chalkboard across the back. They do coffee but yogurt is the main event in a refreshingly minimal single flavour to which you can add sauces and toppings to your heartâs content. We loved it, great alternative to ice cream. Itâs one minute from the lake or you can eat in or sit outside on pastel chairs. Very friendly and helpful staff too.

We ate there with a a party of 4. Later that night myself and one other person out of our party got gastroenteritis and were sick with severe cramps, nausea and diarrhea. That meal was the only thing we both ate together all day, there was no other possible culprit. The illness lasted for days and forced me to postpone a planned vacation. I won't touch Indian food for the next 30 years, just the thought of it makes me sick now. Either the food at Sitara bad or the kitchen hygiene. Absolutely horrid. And we paid 25 Euros a plate for days of misery.

Wir waren in diesem Sommer mehrfach im Golfrestaurant Lugenhof bei Owingen essen. Hier stimmt das sportliche Ambiente mit einer tollen AuÃenterasse und das gemütliche Landhaus perfekt zusammen. Der Blick über Teiel des Bodensee bis hinein in die Schweiz ist toll, das Treiben des Golfplatzes herum bietet immer neus zu schauen und die Küche ist wirklich super, Egal ob "Gambas al Plancha", Kalbsleber oder Tagliatelle mit Pfifferlingen alles auf den Punkt und die Steaks sind ein Traum. Ein Besuch er sich immer wieder lohnt. Das Preis/leistungsverhältnis ist ebenfalls stimmig. Chapeau!

We had dinner here on a warm summer's evening in August. We sat in the garden as it seemed a bit hot and stuffy in the restaurant, so we had a fresh breeze, but also had to contend with the European wasps, which don't seem to bother the locals, but did annoy us. Service was polite, but very slow and if I'd been at home in Australia I probably would have left before our order was taken as it took so long. However, the food redeemed the night. We had a very good entree of prawns followed by the river fish with almond butter, which was excellent. Wines by the glass are good value, but by the bottle seem a bit overpriced.

Despite not having reservations on a holiday evening, they made room for us. We sat next to other local tourists that also made us welcome. The owner was gracious and service was efficient. The atmosphere is that of a friendly German Tavern. The food is German with an international touch. We loved the whole experience.

One negative thing about this hotel/restaurant is the fact that one can not pay with EC-cards other than German EC-cards....is this Europe?? The first time I had not that many cash with me; only cash was accepted...no European EC-cards, no VISA...The two experiences (lunches) we had here were great and tasteful; nice to sit there on a hot day, as it was last weeks. The service is excellent, the food is very well. The 'Kuchen' they served were the best (and most fresh) we have ever tasted and the lunch meals were of very good quality, too. The view is excellent, you can see the mountains with snow in Switserland as well. The restaurant is a meeting point for travellers and bikers, some routes lead to this hill. Great location!
