Find out what Chinese restaurants to try in Rugeley. Rugeley (/ˈruːdʒli/ ROOJ-lee) is a historic market town in the county of Staffordshire, England. It lies on the north-eastern edge of Cannock Chase next to the River Trent, and is situated between the towns of Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield and Uttoxeter. At the 2001 census the town's population was 22,724, (including the Brereton and Etchinghill wards). increasing to 24,033 at the 2011 Census. Rugeley is twinned with Western Springs, Illinois and in July 1962 the towns made telephone history on national television when the chairman of Rugeley Urban District Council made the first telephone call via the new Telstar satellite to the Mayor of Western Springs.

Now I hate leaving bad reviews if rather leave none at all but since the take over from what was our local Chinese take away has now become will never visit again. Have given it two chances now and both times have been truly awful compared to the previous owners. My friend down the road always used to order from here and said had a delivery and it was really bad so have also gone elsewhere. Really disappointed in the take over, and will continue to take business elsewhere I am afraid.

We are a traditional country pub then through the little door opens out into a wonderful Cantonese resturant. You can sit and enjoy and drink or two while you wait for and takeaway or come in and nd enjoy some of the specials in the resturant then retire

There cannot be many places like this in the whole of the UK.The pub is still an old village pub. The beers are well kept. This is not a 5 star and wow premises. What it is, is cozy, comfortable and rustic. The Cantonese Restaurant is in the old converted stables. The welcome you get from Mandy is genuine and wholesome, sheâs quick with the wit and can make any visit there the reason to go back time and again. The food is some of the best you are likely to encounter at any Cantonese. Colourful, tasty, proper proportions and all realistically priced. The rustic surroundings add to the ambience of the whole night out. Why not 5 star ? Well, it is a little tired in places, but none the less enjoyable for it.Give it a whirl........you shouldnât be disappointed.Thanks for your review and we take your points on board we are due to give the whole pub a spruce up over 2019 so hope you will see the difference over the year

Its always a surprise when you get your order, rarely bares any resemblance to the food you wanted, ordered chicken, got beef, wanted satay sauce got black bean......and that was in one order!! 5 dishes, two wrong!!!! Please get someone with half a brain to answer the phone! Wont be using again, this isn't the first time they have got the order wrong, shame because the food is good just not what you ordered

Typical Chinese takeaway, it did the job however the delivery time and food could both have been better! The service was with a smile but it was a weeknight so would have expected better as it couldn't have been ultra busy! But the value was pretty good, may try it again.

A very disappointing meal at the Royal Harris. God knows why the staff work here as it's blatantly obvious that the staff resent customers and their job! Meal times very very slow! Will not be returning! Food served luke warm, at different times one the same table and poor quality.

Saturday night fancied a change, we decided to give lotus house a try as we had heard people recommend it.Round about 30 minutes of waiting as was rammed but we waited.So glad we did, food was excellent and tasted brilliant.My children had 3 in 1's but unfortunately weren't used to proper curry on the chips and rice and although a little hotter, still ate the lot (followed by killing off the squash after).I would well recommend but be aware that it is cash only and no home delivery.I would seriously suggest that the run round will be worth it.
