Reviews on International food in Rugeley, England, United Kingdom. Rugeley (/ˈruːdʒli/ ROOJ-lee) is a historic market town in the county of Staffordshire, England. It lies on the north-eastern edge of Cannock Chase next to the River Trent, and is situated between the towns of Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield and Uttoxeter. At the 2001 census the town's population was 22,724, (including the Brereton and Etchinghill wards). increasing to 24,033 at the 2011 Census. Rugeley is twinned with Western Springs, Illinois and in July 1962 the towns made telephone history on national television when the chairman of Rugeley Urban District Council made the first telephone call via the new Telstar satellite to the Mayor of Western Springs.

Have eaten here previously and was always good. Last night (Fri 25/10/19) 4 of us met there. Two ordered the roast cod. when meal arrived, broccoli was under cooked and virtually inedible. Staff apologised and said would bring out more, but it never arrived. Manageress offered us free drinks to compensate, but actually only reduced bill by £5.i had beer battered haddock. Fish was good, but chips had obviously stood and been re-heated. Mushy peas would have fitted in a small egg cup. Never going there again

Our waiter for the evening was brilliant, very friendly funny and attentive. Welcome from the minute we walked through the door, knowledge of dishes and service all very professional from the staff. Food amazing, great menu choices- couldnât fault any of it. Will definitely be back. Best meal we have eaten in a very long time! Not quite sure why we havenât been before? Many thanks !

We had a 3 course lunch for 25 people here on a week day. I was concerned that a village pub restaurant might struggle to serve such numbers, but with pre-ordered menu choices the kitchen and waiting staff did an amazing job to bring out so much quality food in a timely fashion. All of the starters mains and desserts were rewarded with positive comments and empty plates. Friendly staff throughout made it a very agreeable afternoon. Thanks to everyone who served us last Friday. Highly recommended venue.

Waited 4 mins at the bar to be served. Not due to it being busy, due to staff completely ignoring meWon't be returning anytime soon â¹ï¸We are a extremely busy country pub and try to accommodate each and every customer that walks through the door. It can be beyond our control to what time and the amount of customers turn up at same time, we do endeavour to staff the pub accordingly but certain times we do get hit all at once. My staff are trained to always acknowledge customers when they arrive especially if people in front are ordering drinks and food We also serve throughout the 3 bars so people donât always realise that there are other areas also busy Thank you for your feedback
