Great menu selection. The dining room is cozy with a large old-fashioned furnace right in the room. I had venison, which was delicious. Also great kaiserschmarren (desert).

We eat here very time we visit Austria. We actually stay in the next village, but it's become a tradition to visit the Schweizer for Sunday lunch. We are even recognised by the waiter, who has been there years. That's pretty impressive considering we are only annual visitors!The food is always extremely good, the service excellent and the restaurant itself is extremely attractive. It's a great place to eat when in Lofer and we wouldn't go anywhere else.

We recently stayed at this wonderful Gasthof and from arrival to departure everything was totally outstanding. The room was bright and spacious and impeccably clean, The owners were nothing short of exceptional and welcoming. Being B&B owners ourselves, we look at other businesses with discerning eyes, yet, we could not find one single fault with this establishment. In a single word AUSGEZEICHNETThe breakfasts were plentiful and very sustaining with a large selection to sate any palate. Great coffee. The highlight of our stay were the two dinners we had. The food was remarkable and ohhhhhhhhhh! so very tasty. The plates were well presented and our waiter/waitress was courteous, very friendly and most professional.All in all, we highly recommend anyone staying in Kirchdorf or the surrounding area to stay or dine at this exceptional establishment. The bar is a hidden treasure in St. Johann. Very nice interior. The employees are extremely friendly with a very good and friendly service. I did not eat but overheard the great comment from the table next to me. Will be back for sure to try the cuisine

Those who reviewedby his place as average must be some spoiled souls and should never go on the camping holidays again. This place is outstanding, friendly, beautiful, food is fantastic as well. We will recommend it to anybody and will be going back.

Great restaurant, and a good view skiing down a small road to get there, with a scary drop at the top. Recommend the gurstel, or the pancakes!!! Quality place, especially when the sun is out!!!

This restaurant is located above the local brewery and owned by them. The views from it and from its balcony are amazing.The menu is simple but good. I would recommend the pretzel and breads and the goulash soup. They have a great selection of beers all brewed onsite.As the dining room is small, you cannot reserve a table, but yes they do reserve a table for locals because the locals come and eat and drink every day!We found the staff to be quiet and efficient and heplful.

I went here with my family during my journey in Kitzbuhel. I found this restaurant thanks to Tripadvisor and itâs been a great surprise!
