I visited Lukullum while I was in town for business, based on a customer recommendation. I went there on my first day in Friedrichshafen and kept going there every single day throughout my entire stay. The restaurant is very spacious and has a lot of tables suitable for different amounts of people. I in fact, went there by myself each day as the restaurant was just a 15 minutes away from my hotel, and always had great experience. The restaurant is located right beside the central station, in about 15 minutes walk from the old town. The menu at the restaurant is varied And any person with dietary restrictions can find something to eat. Their salads are great and rich with flavors. The fish is fresh and the steak is highly recommended. On one of the evenings I tried a dessert based on chocolate muss and strawberries And that too was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend everyone to visit this restaurant. I will go back there again on my next visit to Friedrichshafen.Hello MissMayG,thank you very much for visiting us in the Lukullum every day of your stay in Friedrichshafen. We are very happy and proud about your respectful and great words in your TripAdvisor comment. Your feedback is a great motivation for our whole team to keep our high level and a great confirmation for our daily doings. We are looking forward to be your host again and hope you will stay in Friedrichshafen again soon. Best regards and all the best.Your Lukullum-Team

Haus am See

Looking for a place to relax after navigating our way around the German side of the Lake of Constance, it was by mere chance but our good fortune to find, hidden away on a side street, the Hotel and Restaurant “Haus am See” in the town of Nonnenhorn, which is not too far from the city of Lindau. As it was one of those rare, sunny, warm Sundays, we were able to sit outside in the restaurant’s perfectly lovely garden which has a great view of the lake as well as the mountains on the Swiss side. Spying on the other guests, who were tucking into wonderful-looking cakes and ice cream creations, we succumbed to temptation and ordered a piece of the rhubarb cake/pie; two layers of pastry with a tart and creamy rhubarb filling. Since it was terrific, we decided to see if the cheesecake tasted as good as it looked. We weren’t disappointed. And since all good things come in threes, we rounded out our caloric splurge with a slice of the apricot cake; tart fruit nestled in a vanilla cream. The service was friendly and quick despite the large number of guests who had the same idea at the same time as we did. All in all it was a perfectly relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon, admiring the boats on the lake as well as the pretty herbal garden on the grounds.Although we couldn’t stay for dinner (and wouldn't have had space for it anyway after all that cake), the menu looked as inviting as the cakes. The Haus am See is a great find for an afternoon break.

As a regular visitor to Bregenz I tried this new restaurant with my friends. At first, we had high expectations with the nice interior but it went downhill from there. The waiter had limited knowledge of the menu, the portions are very small and highly priced compared to other restaurants in Bregenz. We ordered a bottle of wine and the wine was put in a wine cooler near to our table but the waiter didn’t get the wine to top up our glasses. After finishing our meal, we were not offered a desert menu, coffee or the bill. We struggled to get the attention of the staff despite them not being particularly busy.

Max & Moritz

Getting there was half the fun for us! We avoided the highways and opted for the winding back roads and farm lanes - what an adventure! When you get to the top, I'm sure the view is spectacular; I say that because it was grey and raining when we arrived. It started to clear before we left, so we got a small glimpse of the lake and mountains in the distance. In addition to seating by the windows, there's a large patio area for outdoor dining (not an option on our day due to weather).Service was fast and friendly. There was a varied menu that offered a great selection of local German cuisine. I enjoyed a pint of their dark beer made on site. Food coming out of the kitchen looked spectacular. I opted for meatloaf, only to be disappointed with two large slices of warmed lunch meat. My own fault for not researching ahead of time, but know that meatloaf isn't the same as what you'd expect in North America.Would love to return on a sunny, clear day and enjoy some of the other features on the menu, including the locally crafted beer.Hi Canada27, thank you very much for visiting us in our brewery. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our self-made beer and you can imagine to come back. We wish you all the best and are looking forward to see you again. Best regards, your Max&Moritz-Team

After travelling in Switzerland for the last 2 weeks the Krone was a great relief to the pocket. I had the goulash and wife had the schnitzel. Big servings and complete with salads etc. Highly recommended and with drinks was half the price of Switzerland.

We attended one of the summer series concerts. The Castle is lovely and in good condition but there are lots of stairs. The venue offers a series of varied concerts during the summer. We saw a Gypsy Jazz group that was outstanding. Intermission was champagne on the terrace with a view of the Alps across the lake at sunset. Outstanding!!

... on Good Friday there were five of us in the Meersalz. The service was charming and courteous. We ordered two 6-course menus and one 5-course menu, otherwise three courses a la carte each. Wine recommendation was excellent, both the white wine (Veltliner) and the Margaux Favarel. So there is absolutely nothing to complain about. If it had not been for a small thing... When paying the bill, at least 430€ with tip, I could not resist to ask for the "free farewell drink" of the house. That was taken up by our charming service employee and immediately communicated to the management. She was sent back with the statement, "something like this is not taken into account by us", which was obviously a shame for her. Actually really a pity, because it would have been a small gesture for three, two had to drive anyway and hadn't drunk anything the whole time, so also no real effort. The team in service and kitchen did a huge job, thanks for a nice experience. Management, just think about it ;-) That is only a four star rating.

Fair traditional and regional cuisine for reasonable price. Besides the quality cuisine accompanied by great local beers and wines I would appreciate also attitude of staff. We visited the restaurant for a dinner but the restaurant was absolutely full and we had no reservation. But the staff, after couple minutes of waiting have prepared a proper table for us and so we could enjoy dinner.
