We booked ahead on a Tuesday evening and got a sit-by option which means sharing a larger table with other people. No problem at all. Staff were friendly, impressively efficient and approachable. We had the game specials, utterly great, tasty, satisfying and filling. Lovely atmosphere, mainly locals, which I always take as a good sign. Well deserved rating.

I went for a dinner with colleagues as this restaurant was recommended. Host was very welcoming and it was good to have a menu written in English. Food was fresh, prepared and presented very well.

Road side rooms are right on a busy road. Earplugs a boon! Ask for a lakeside room for a little more money.However, the breakfast was excellent( I didnt have anything cooked) and enjoyed a spectacular view over the lake. Didnt eat here otherwise but lots of locals tucking in I noticed. No kettle in the room for tea etc.

Having spent a long day trekking at the Brauneck ski, hike, and para-sailing alpine retreat, our group of 6 stopped by Eireiner's for food and drink. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and it's presentation. When we later looked at the website, we saw the dishes we ordered exactly as they were served to us. Hans-Georg, owner and chef, prepares excellent dishes that you might expect to have served up in a fine restaurant in Munich. This unpretentious setting adds to the experience and capped off a day that filled the senses to overflowing.Herzliche GrüÃe nach U.S. und vielen Dank für diese Bewertung. This was a wonderful restaurant to start our first trip to Germany. It had delicious food, good service and a patient waitress who helped with language problems. Only now after a week in Germany can I compare this place to others. (A restaurant in Kochel is going to get a poor review in just a few minutes ...). We had a nice waitress who provided an English menu and then explained things on the menu. Our food came out quickly. The salad was large with a wonderful assortment of items. The sausages and potatoes came out hot and delicious. We also had a dessert - a cream puff with strawberries and cream - yum!! They took our credit card without any problem. We wished we had eaten there the second night instead of the Heimatbuhne in Kochel.

We went there after a hiking day...it was a little Bit hard to find and Park, but the Hosts are very warm and friendly people. The cuisine is stable and very Good! Enormous portions, fresh food and a nice view to the mountains!! You should go there if you are hungry! Excellent choice

I know this place from driving by, since it is in the middle of nowhere near Sindelsdorf-Bavaria. It offers a great variety of Food, for lunch, Dinner or in-between. The People are friendly there, ample parking, and the Food is just great. Drive in, enjoy this place, and you will be pleasantly surprised.

We have decided to spend a long week with the whole family in Gasthof zur Post.It is the perfect place to stay during your Trip in southern bavaria. Besides the classy rooms and the hearty host family, the local food makes you stay in that place as long as you can.Thank you and best wishes from Taiwan!

We visited with a cousin who recalled going to the monastery in 2012 to hear a Joan Baez concert...It dates to 738 so is very old and quite extensive. I particularly liked the elaborate herb garden. The restaurant was pleasant and the service was good

Since I live in the area, I have been here multiple times, and unfortunately cannot write a positive review for the restaurant. The atmosphere is good and they have a beer garden for when the weather is nice, but the food is really terrible. I would not recommend eating here, only a beverage is worth getting. The service personnel is not friendly either. The menu is too large for the food to be fresh. Every time we have tried this restaurant, the meat is over cooked and on one occasion the meat tasted as if it had gone bad. I mentioned this to the staff and he went an asked another man if his meal tasted good since we ordered the same dish. He did not offer to bring something else, or to take it off our bill. He was quite rude. There are better traditional restaurants in the region...it just takes a bit of searching.
