Spiegel is located in the area called old city in Semarang. Location is ok, the restaurant is well organised, personnel is kind and professional, the food taste so good and is always well presented and well served. Always nice to pay a visit to Spiegel. Considering the hi quality of the place, the bill is ok.

Being a holiday season where traffic is jammed, I decided to have a luncheon at a walking-distance place to my office. This restaurant is located at famous Pandanaran Street, strategic location. It is nicely decorated, a cozy place to lunch. I have mushroom chicken Noodle, and avocado frappe. Presentation is very nice, taste is great, and service is ok.

For me the atmosphere is lacking. The very modern glass and concrete decor not my choice. But the menu is very interesting. They have an excellent chef, and are very adventurous in providing such a broad range of choice. Italian, Asian, fusion, ...something for everyone. There are plenty of friendly staff, but the waiters do need to concentrate, especially for those sitting in the outdoor area. There's no alcohol at all, so although I enjoy the food, the drinks list is... ugh!
