Driving through the beautiful chilean south, suddenly there apears this wooden built cafe in middle of the silence, right at the moment when you are needing some coffee. Beautiful and quiet,a bit lonesome.I would have liked a larger variety of "kuchens" or pastry, but, nice at large.

1. Dough kneading and rolling by hand for the crispy crust2. Right sauce (preferably cooked slowly using best ingredients)3. Delicious topping (I personally prefer prosciutto crude and rucola but quattro formaggi is also excellent)4. Proper oven (it needs to be pretty hot)Or, if you are in the Pucon area, just go to Amankay Cafe. They make truly awesome pizzas, thin crispy crust, delicious toppings. We stayed across the road and enjoyed a take away Amankay pizza with a view. While you wait ask for their freshly made juice. They have bread, salad, kuchen and coffee too. We will be back for more.

We only went for a coffee, and admittedly it wasn't peak time, but, quite frankly, the coffee was rubbish. The staff seemed less than enthusiastic, in fact, serving guests seemed like a imposition, they had bigger fish to fry, playing on their mobile phones. This is the only place in Chile where I have declined the propina.

This cute café is located a bit outside of the center in a quiet corner surrounded by small artisan shops. The atmosphere is super relaxed and the staff lovely. They are specialized on mate tea and cakes but also have some sandwiches. Both the sandwich and the cake I had were delicious, as well as the fruity mate tea. Had a nice chat with the staff, of whom one girl spoke very good English. They only opened a couple days ago when I visited and I wish them to be open for a very long time to come. Must visit when in Pucón!

In a town full of good restaurants it is difficult to stick out. La Suiza is certainly no gourmet temple but they offer good set meals, tasty cakes and friendly service. The clientele on the day we went seemed to consist of mostly locals. All of the staff were lovely with our kid. Not a bad place to spend an hour or two and watch the people.

Very nice place with great food and very friendly people!! Great juices, very nice coffee and a varation of great dishes for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This was definitely the best place for good food/coffee in Pucon!

Been in Chile a week, mostly in the desert to be fair, but really missing a good cappuccino, had two here, one after another, also really good warm open apple pie. My husband enjoyed a beer.
